Situation:John Jonn'z has just been teleported to the Earth 616's moon dimension by one of his DC enemies. Stark's long range sensors pick up his arrival and he goes to investigate. Expectedly a misunderstanding ensues and the two do battle.

I used Iron Man because his armor is resistant to psychic attacks and he's had experience against foes with intangiblity.

ironman gets trashed.  unless he is quick to figure out fire is the turning point.  tony is smart, but the manhunter could mentally make him into a slobbering baby with one mind blast.  martian manhunter all the way.

I've got the Final Crisis trade. How did Libra and his gang get the drop on John so easily? That's always bugged me. Was it explained in another comic?

How is he pretty low on Marvel's scales? I mean until you get into like Galactus, Thor is the cream of the crop. As for him acting better than everyone else, you have to remember that he IS a God. He was raised as a God.
