Either can take the other out depending on who strikes first.
Hal. More versatile to a greater extent, higher level of damage output, shields that can withstand J'onns striking and beam for a prolonged time while sending energy of his. Having a defensive stance and attacking at the same time should eventually end up with him winning, given it would only be more difficult without the combination.
Hal. @jashro44 And im assuming this is new 52?

Whoops I meant pre new 52. Martian manhunter has some good strength feats but he doesn't have much else to my knowledge.

This though I would favor MMH to win due to Morals. Off and I would go with Jordan.
I am leaning this way myself. Hal may have superior range capabilities but MMH pre-52 is somewhat close to Superman speed IIRC. Hal has done some awesome area denial stuff but it places him on the defensive and MMH is probably going to find it more annoying than inhibiting.
Interesting Match. Shape shifting and matter manipulation should cancel each other out. Jonn can still shape shift around most of Hals blasts and constructs, just not the wider ones which he'll have to try to dodge. He could always take out Hal the way he did John, but I feel wide blasts from Hal are a more practical method so I'm leaning toward Hal.
The fact that Martian Manhunter doesn't have intangibility or telepathy makes this a pretty fair battle. But Hal's versatility makes me lean more toward his favor.

I'm slightly leaning towards Hal.
I believe both have soloed a Justice League team that included the other. Hal in about 1994, and New 52 Manhunter stalemated the JLA. I understand those are different continuities, but it's still interesting.

IIRC J'ohn did solo the JLA once pre new 52 all though he used TP on Wally.
@jashro44: Martain Manhunter shapeshifts into Chuck Norris and Hal looses his will.

This is basically, a slightly more versatile Superman vs Green Lantern; he should be given his intangibility at least.
It's weird IMO, because SS is close to both of these two, however in this thread, MMH with all his abilities would seemingly beat Green Lantern for sure; due to TP and intangibility...
Hal can project anything right. Then he can project the justice leauge the avengers etc. Plus Hal could go old fashion and project a hammer to keep on smashing MM. I mean seriously Hal takes this.
