vs
First fight, in-character situation,and in a second scenario - a bloodlusted situation.
I'd say it's even. Both were leveling an entire city towards the end of their features, but then again DCAU Supes has more experience.
DCAU Superman one-shots. All he really needs are his JL and JLU feats. His showings against Captain Atom and Darkseid can shit this argument down. Ppl on this site seem to habitually wank characters who are undeserving of it and I see that MoS is no different. This is probably one of the reasons why the respected OG posters and debaters don't even bother with the Battles Forum all that much anymore -- it really has gotten sad smh..
DCAU Superman wins, seems a little more powerful for now and is faster in combat speed as he usually moves like a red-blue blur and changes clothes in the blink of an eye, and DCAU just has better feats as of now, especially in his last fight against Darkseid fused with Brainiac tech
I'm leaning towards DCAU. More feats, more experience, at least as powerful as the MOS version. Probably not quite as brutal (not joking).

Um, have you watched Justice League Unlimited or have you simply just forgotten his fights? He's definitely more brutal than MoS. What he did to Captain Atom and Shazam proves that.
@super_mod: I don't remember him breaking any necks.

Oh I thought you were talking about being brutal within the heat of combat.
DCAU. There's nothing MoS could surpass DCAu in. Also, cartoons are better than live action. Then there's the fact Mos only had 1 movie
After watching the new BvS trailer, DCAU Superman takes this easily!
What do you mean? Superman wasn't that weak. Regardless, even so, DCAU Superman takes it due to a massive physical edge.
Dude, I'm disappointed with you :(
How can you fall for such a bait? Haha
But tbh though, I hate the new direction they're taking with Superman, that trailer made me sad :(
@rudebomberboy01: The trailer was even darker than what Daredevil (Netflix) and Man of Steel were together. I really hate how Snyder does things, but there's one movie that actually worked; Watchmen.
Snyder f-ed up Superman.
Thank you!
I'm watching the trailer and I'm thinking to myself... "Superman would never become this" *sigh*. What happened to 'hope', what happened to jolly good Boy Scout Superman? I miss that one :(
Maybe it's too early to judge, I'll wait for more info.

The trailer makes sense. The first time anyone ever sees Superman is in response to an alien invasion that only happened because he was being looked for. If the mood wasn't like it was, it wouldn't make any sense.
@thanosismad: I'm not talking about the motive of the trailer, I'm talking about the trailer itself; it was too damn dark and doesn't fit Superman at all. To be honest, that's even too far for Batman.
Thank you!

I know, Snyder should have researched the character a little before making a movie so dark. I like Superman Returns more than Man of Steel, because Superman's character was actually portrayed as his comic book counterpart. What happened to the Superman I and all the other fans like? What happened to Superman who inspired people in real life?
This page alone is honestly better than the garbage Man of Steel movie.

Snyder's version had the purpose to show a more violent Superman to attract new audiences, and by that sell the new movie to the people who want action and "badass" heroes"
I like the shot above, too.
@comicfanforever: Good' I'm glad Superman is going dark...finally.
@super_mod: the Mos vs Zod is almost identical to the Superman vs shazzam fight..both were hella crazy powerful

MoS because he actually uses his powers. DCAU Supes almost never uses super speed or hits hard enough to create shockwaves.
I don't know if DCAU Superman would have been able to survive the nuke.
He tanked a blast from the Watchtower's cannon, which I believe was stated to have the concentrated power of multiple nuclear weapons.
The only reason that the nuke aiming at the island (I forget the name) would have killed him is because of the kryptonite warhead.
Okay, I had to double check my prior statement:
J'onn states that it has the punch of a "small nuclear weapon." Superman didn't tank a full blast, because he didn't get there in time. He was knocked back by the beam as it was firing, not the full blast.
I do think he could have tanked the blast. He went there with the full purpose of standing in the way of the beam.

This is the effect that the cannon had:
The facility it destroyed was big but It shows how low yield is the power of the nuke that they were comparing to. It did some powerful shockwaves but that was it, and it's logical the Justice League wouldn't want a huge explosion, they wanted that to take out big targets without doing too much collateral damage. DCAU Superman was knocked out after barely touching the blast. When they threw the nuke at Doomsday and Superman they wanted to make sure that they would die, it was a bit of an Overkill. In the Superman animated series (where he seemed weaker to be fair) He almost dies of a small rocket missile with Kryptonite so it shows that they didn't need much more than that to kill him.
As I said: the nuke that was sent at Doomsday and Superman also had Kryptonite.
And yeah, TAS Superman seemed far weaker than later versions. JLU Superman > JL Superman > TAS Superman.

At first I thought that the Kryptonite wasn't necessary, that the nuke alone would have gotten the job done but I do remember that Doomsday stated that his skin could withstand a nuclear bomb and since Superaman and Doomsday aren't that far off, It might require a nuke and Kryptonite to kill them. Also the Binary Fusion Cannon had the concentrated power of a small nuclear weapon so that would have affected Superman way more.
@captain_clown: In these fights we assume everyone fights at their best, so an all out Supes would still be too experienced for MoS with all his powers.
