yes, but buu being himself(most forms) tend to absorb, and even as kid buu, he should be able to sense the surfers powers, making it even more desirable to absorb him

anyway i got go with buu he's pure evil(Kid buu) he won't hold back and SS will have to destroy every celll of buu in order to kill him on top of that buu can learn ANY attack by just watching it once, which means he be able to copy whatever SS dose....he's already capable of surviving a planet-buster attack(as well survive a destroying planet while on it) and he can destroy a planet with one palm-size attack with ease...and regenerate with no problem ALL. He's way to dangerous and while most people will argue me down my point is while Silver Surfer is extremely strong and powerful;he have never face anyone like kid buu (to my knowledge)who's completely insane,powerful enough to laugh off a Planet-buster attack and regenerate so fast and well, and while i agree SS have face many many powerful foe's kid buu is completely difrent. Now SS might not be kill by buu but i highly doubt he will be able to kill buu now i agree with Perfect cell being more closer to SS while kid buu is more powerful. I think kid buu would give Thanos a run for his money so let alone SS, the question for me is can Silver Surfer survive being hit by planet-buster attacks and some who can regenerate from an entire planet being destroy in seconds

The Spirit Bomb is designed to defeat evil beings, and also, the Spirit Bomb can easily take out a planet if Goku doesn't control the energy, but he does because it's in his character

You know you can't say things like this and not know how the attacks work. The spirit Bomb was specifically designed to take out evil not cause collateral destruction, it is essentially one of the most circumstantial attacks in all of dbz, as seen when Krillin threw a spirit bomb at vegeta missed and all gohan had to do was hold his hands out and it bounced right off of him, Gohan being of pure heart the spirit bomb would have 0 effect on him. SS has also been hurt by attacks with much less than Planet busting capability. Not saying Buu wins or anything, in fact I'm pretty sure SS could just de-atomize him from the very start of the fight unless someone knows buu has a defense for that, in which case there are still a hundred ways SS could kill him.
Maijin Buu or Kid Boo is good but he still needs more feats, Buu or Boo lacks the durability that people like Gladiator, Hulk and Superman have......Surfer has Extreme feats of durability
Majin Buu or Kid Boo lacks imagination...he only turns people into chocolate or candy....Surfer has attacked people's spirit, Surfer has fought with Abstracts like Zeus and fought toonforce reality warpers like Impossible Man, he has dumped people into blackholes, he is a high level telepath with psionic feats, Silver Surfer has aerosolized an enemy and shatter his enemy's atoms,
Silver Surfer fought the Immortal Prince of Orphans aka John Aman...this guy was unkillable, he had a radiant hand, teleportation and could transmute himself into a deadly fog or green mist..Surfer then turned himself into a giant alien mouth, ate John's soul and spat it into a volcano for a BFR
Silver Surfer is simply faster than Buu, Surfer usually holds back in fights if Surfer decides to use his speed then Buu gets blitzed
I'd side with Buu due to greater versatility, energy attacks that match and possibly even surpass those of the Silver Surfer, as well as an impossibly high regeneration and malleability.
First, there seems to be some confusion over which incarnation of Buu is the strongest. Someone here has claimed that the strongest Buu is Kid Buu, but this is incorrect; Kid Buu is actually the weakest incarnation of Buu. Kid Buu is the original Buu before he started absorbing people. Buuhan, which absorbed Piccolo, Gotenks, and Mystic Gohan (plus the Kai's he absorbed before the start of the series) is the strongest incarnation of Buu.
Second, Silver Surfer pretty much auto-loses this fight. In character, Silver Surfer is basically a pacifist who won't fight back until he believes it's absolutely necessary in order to defend himself, and even then he'll try as much as possible to not kill his opponent. By the time Silver Surfer realizes the type of fight he's in and begins to unleash his full power, Buuhan will be all over him. Silver Surfer's moral restrictions are just too high to give him the type of start he needs in order to win this fight.

The fact that Buu cannot copy SS's powers is a huge game changer here as well. So in my opinion SS takes this battle 9/10 times,
