Shao Kahn would devastate Magneto. Mag's powers wouldn't even be able to stop him. Shao Kahn is known to overpower other forces (especially magic and superhuman abilities in general) and he's super durable and strong and extremely fast. He took down Raiden which is like the Thor of Mortal Kombat.
@Magethor: I was just joking. The vid you posted was an in-game fight so the damage given to the other guy is really suspect. Clips like that are kinda inadmissable since everything about it is balanced and tweaked for gameplay purposes. Regardless, while Kahn is no Dormammu, canon-wise Kahn would take Mag's soul before his gravity squeeze could even form. Anyway, if Kahn let Mag get his attack off and hit him with it, I'm sure he'd be fine in the end.
@KungFu: That's not acurate. Kahn can take any soul he wants at any point unless the God's protect them, or Mortal Kombat is declared. In MK3 Kahn stripped the earth of all human life, the only souls he couldn't take were the ones Raiden protected and in the process of protecting them, Raiden lost his God-hood. Kahn's magic is ridiculous.
About Raiden, some are missing the point of the story of MK. Kahn had to lure the combatants to Outworld so that Raiden wouldn't have his full power. Only way Kahn beats Raiden is in Outworld because if they fought in Earth realm, Raiden would abolish Kahn.
@KungFu: Kahn never fought Shang and Quan. After Kahn's takeover in MK3, he spent the next few years (all of MK4 and 5) recovering from his fight with Liu. During that time though, Kahn's forces, and his magic, were under constant attack by Kitana and Goro's combined forces; the Edenian/Outworld war slowed his recuperation. Anyway, by the time Shang and Quan attacked, Kahn had hidden himself away and created a clone of himself to rule in his stead. They killed his clone. The real Kahn returned sometime later, retook his thrown, and ended up causing Armageddon by being the last man standing in the MK free-for-all.
Kahn took the souls because he could. He didn't think the Gods could or would stop him (which they didn't because they didn't want to), but they interevene when he began merging the realms. Kahn under his own power stood up against the Elder Gods. PS...Raiden is "weaker" in Outworld, but Kahn can really fight him on an even playing field in any realm. The Armageddon fight took place in Edenia.
