Magneto vs Loki
Well like Darkseid said in the cross over " Mutants may be a step above mortals, but they are leagues below gods."
but according to the celestials the human evolution to mutants evolve into celestials." Well like Darkseid said in the cross over " Mutants may be a step above mortals, but they are leagues below gods." "
there's another scan where one celestrial tells iceman and emma this as well.

That and Siege.
"You are all forgetting about Magneto's fast reaction time. He could KO Loki before he would even have a chance to attack him. "
Can Magneto even hurt Loki? Balder the Brave decapitated him once, and he simply reattached his head. The main idea I got from Simonson's run is that Loki could only be hurt by magic or enchanted weaponry. His spells protect him against conventional attacks. I know there's currently a new Loki, but I don't know much about his powers.
Loki, passive magics could probably protect him decent enough in the event of quick attacks from Mags, Loki wins easily power for power.
@m0ntyb0y: while I agree Loki is the smart money....magneto is no slouch....with prep time....he has a shot...
If Magneto can give Thor trouble, he would give Loki trouble too. Whether Magneto wins depends on terrain and prep. And why the hell would they be fighting at the Great Wall of China? Place the battle in New York (site of the Avengers movie) and Magneto would give Loki all he could handle and then some.
If Magneto can give Thor trouble, he would give Loki trouble too.
I don't get this. Loki and Thor are very different for the most part.
@erik: Not physically powerful? He has traded blows with Spider-Man and Thor. His strength is in the thirties.
@deadcool: sorry I had to say this now but I hate it when people use "he's a god" as an excuse like doomsday can beat the mess out of Hercules and he's a god so there really is no point of saying that

Tell this to Franklin Richards
@manchine: I'm not sure about that guys. In the new versions, Thor constantly talks about how asgardian magic is just super advanced science. Which means that all of Loki's "magic" is governed by the four fundamental forces of the universe. One being electromagnetism. Which magneto manipulates. So in theory magneto should be able to defend himself quite easily. This isn't as easy as you think and I honestly believe mags has a shot. A good one too.
Loki would wreck Magneto quite easily if he wanted to, and there isn't anything Eric could do to stop it.
Anywhere near a massive magnetic feild, Magneto wins. He can alter the actual magnetic field, not just metal.
Loki.
This is a gods battle. Magneto has been downplayed way to much. He once shifted the entire planet that is impressive in anyone's book. Having said that Loki will win the majority. Loki is over all more powerful. He's stronger much more versatility. His durability is off the charts. He can be decapitated and laugh it off. Technically only mistletoe can kikk him. Plus is aunt is Hela. Not to mention he has thousands of years expierence. He stalemated classic strange while in spirit form. Even strange fears him. Plus only batman and doom can equal him in prep. So Loki 7/10 for the win but mags defintly can win a few.
