The location helps a lot since there is no metal around I can see Carnage lasting 10 seconds rather than 5.

Yea Magneto is just way too good for Carnage. Carnage is good and all but all Magneto needs is the metal from those cannons to do him in.

To be fair, that was in an extreme surge of anger and I don't believe has been repeated. I'm not calling it a one off thing, but for now it isn't consistent with Magneto's regular showings and may be tied to his emotional state as he is still figuring out what he can and can't do yet. It's kind of like when Cyclops with his new powers was leveling a city block with his blast in a more casual scenario, but in something more dire he was able to hurt Dormammu.

Ah,I understand. Hopefully we see more in his new series.

The location helps not at all. There's lots of metal all over the place in that town.
