Magneto vs Captain America
This topic is locked from further discussion.
Magneto would just rip the iron out of his blood. Instant death. Never put Magneto against a human or psuedo-human.
yeah i was just hoping to argue with someone who was a big captain america fan it would have been kinda funny but not anymore.
He doesn't do it very often because comics are mostly written for hero's. and alot of the heros have iron in their blood and if they did us it alot more heros would be dead.

EXACTLY! Magneto SHOULD do it all the time. Writers just can't face that he could kill half the heroes that way.
I'm tired of the "rip the iron out of his blood" thing. People say it like he does that all the time. How many times has he actually done that in comics? But yes, Magneto anally rapes Captain America.

yes i Know its evil but i can't help myself

Dude, we're evil! What'd you expect, flowers? If you don't want to fight, come to the two month old forum, it's a party!

You say he doesn't do it very often, but when has he done it? I'm only asking because I've never seen him do it in comics (I'm not saying it hasn't happened, just that I've not seen it). I know he could do it, but saying he would do it when he rarely if ever does it in comics seems out of character.
But again its because most writers are pro-hero
I can't think of a time he has used that to be truthful

There are plenty of heroes that are insanely powerful and just never get to use that power, it's not like Magneto could just rule the universe if they let him go all out. There are good guys that could have all the (earth-based) villains imprisoned within a month if they set their minds to it, but they never get the chance.
I know. I was just saying that I didn't like how everyone says magneto would do something that he's never done in the comics. Once again, I have no doubt that he could do it, it's just out of character.
Yeah but i have always hated how magento has been treated in some comics. And when we talk about stuff like this i like to think about the what if factor yeah know.
Why would an all out battle end any differently? Magneto wins with his arms behind his back, tied to a chair, blinded and with a broken ankle. This fight really is dumb. Did you just want to make Captain America look bad or something?
What follows is intended as some fun fan-fiction:
Magneto and Captain America are known to each other, keeping tabs on each other's exploits. This is especially so as being aware of other "generals" on the battlefield is important to each in their respective leadership roles. Eventually, the dreams of both clash: American vs Mutant Brotherhood. Rather than involve and risk the lives of others, Captain America seeks out Magneto and like any good boyscout comes prepared to survive and thrive. Adorned in the latest in non-magnetic materials and alloys, Captain America looks to drop the decisive blow by first setting a time delayed distraction in Magneto's security: Broadcasting a message of acceptance and freedom for mutant's in America over Magneto's network! Incensed at the "propoganda", Magneto with firm finality blasts the electronic communication network, figuring that he should be able to repair it quick enough. Unfortunately for him, Cap uses the distraction and confusion to slip deep into his inner sanctum, setting the scene for an epic confrontation. Already on edge, Magneto retreats to that same sanctum ponder this development in the escalation of tensions between him and his opponents, thus planning on his response. But too late he realises his defenses have been breached when his spots the note on his chair of repose: "Your fascist supremicist dream ends now. -Cap'n." Even though Magneto throws up his electro-magnetic shields at the speed of thought, it is too late. The note having taken care of Captain America's sense of honor, the trap is sprung and a familiarly designed shield slams into the base of Magneto's neck, a move many a nazi and then some has feared. Magneto, paralyzed and realizing the end is nigh, attempts to kill his would be assasin, gathering as much metal to him to shred and crush any in the vicinity. But it is to no avail, as Captain America seeing no need to gloat over his foe has already made his escape, is actually aided by the destruction of the surroundings, cool and collected makes his way to his evac point...
The fight wouldn't even start because Magneto would be forced to bow down before Cap and thank him profusely for fighting the Nazis.

And that wouldn't be out of character for Magneto, wouldn't hurt his pride at all, right? And its never come across that Magneto's dream for Mutant Brotherhood is Mutant Supremacy over all overs, not at all like Aryan Supremacy or any other "Superior Race" movement, right?
While Magneto has paid his respects to those he has seen as being a help in the past, it hasn't stopped him from serving them a beat down before or he and Prof X wouldn't have come into conflict as much as they have.
Is there a limit to Magneto's control over metal? Like if the Sun was made of metal, could Magneto control it?

Marvel says this Magneto's power is limitless.
However its also says Magneto’s ability to wield his superhuman powers effectively is dependent upon his physical condition. When severely injured, his body is unable to withstand the strain of manipulating great amounts of magnetic forces.

I think that's a bit much, r.i.p.
I looked into this, and there is really only about 8 mg of iron in the body, with most of it in the blood. Even if magneto was able to ball up all the iron and remove it from a concentrated area, it's still not going to be that big of a hole. Really, all it;s going to do is make it so that Cap's body would be less efficient at transporting oxygen, thus killing him slowly. If you wanted a fast death, you could just say Magneto uses his powers to control Cap's shield. BAM. Dead. Game over.

yes, but he can use the iron to stop the flow of blood in cap, and kill him, which is what should have been posted.
