Has Magneto's force field been shown to repel intangibles? I'm assuming it can work on MM since his type of intangibility involves lowering his density which means he still has at least some molecules that can be blocked by the field. The next question is can it tank Superman level hits?
Kurt will probably have to keep 'porting constantly throughout the match to avoid getting blitzed and to keep his mind from getting locked onto for a TP attack.
My guess is Manhunter will win.. eventually..
@gunmetalgrey: Agreed, kurt's pretty useless in this matchup since the martian will do away with him quickly. This is basically Magneto vs The Martian. The field should work on the martian for the reason you've stated.Even lowering his density his molecules can still be blocked by mags em field, Mags shield has taken some heavily loads from nukes, asteroids, and many other things so his shield holds up quite well. How long he can keep up his shield during the duration of the bout is the issue. Once the shield is down he'll be at the martians mercy.
What could Martian do to Kurt? He wouldnt be able to lock onto him because he is constantly teleporting. Im sure Kurt would do some damage to Martian Manhunter. I dont think Kurt is useless. He would probably die and have it come down to Mags vs a weak Martian.... but Kurt could do something.

I agree.... however Martian would eventually gain control of Kurt and could use him to his advantage. I can see this going either way but Martian 6/10

Kurt will have the same problem locking on 'cause of MM's speed.
What could Martian do to Kurt? Kurt stops porting for even a split-second to try to mount some kind of attack and MM puts him in a comma.
What could Kurt possibly do against Manhunter's durability?
Try 'porting away Manhunter's leg, arm, head? He grows it all back in seconds.
What will Kurt do when MM goes intangible?
At most, Kurt is gonna be an annoyance, and this really hurts me to say since he's in my top 3 favorite X-Men..

Well I agree with the annoyance part. But what if Magneto has Martian locked in his force field? Then Kurt could keep teleporting in and out of the field to get some hits... I do think Magneto doing the most will cause a worn down Martian and Kurt will be able to take advantage of that.
so...Superman with intangibility, shape shifting and one of the most powerful telepathic minds in the DC Universe vs Mags and Nightcrawler
geee...I wonder who wins.
Should try to bring in someone who knows a good bit about Magneto. I think he could pull off a win and I love Martian Manhunter. I just feel like the team isnt getting credited as much as they should.
@Magethor Care to add anything to this?
In the end, Magneto is the one that will provide the damage and what not. He will protect Nightcrawler and have him jab or create some sort of annoyance to Martian Manhunter. Martian Manhunter can take Kurt out easily though. I say we need more info @TheMinister

Nightcrawler?

Martian Manhunter for the Win.
Too Strong, Too Fast, Too Durable for Magneto and The Blue Mutant.
Nightcrawler isn't touching Martian Manhunter in my honest opinion. I don't see why he's even here.
Magneto stands a much better chance than people are giving him credit for. He was able to take on people on Northstar's level of speed, and take blows from Colossus with ease. I think he's being underestimated here. The guy literally moves mountains with his powers, and he can overpower Colossus and other 100+ Tonners in a physical confrontation using his powers.
Plus his force fields don't have any limitations that I'm aware of, can anyone provide a scan or a single moment where someone on Martian Manhunter's level has broken his force fields? I think Green Phoenix and the Avengers had a rough time with them at one point in time.
Thanks for reading,
Floopay
Nightcrawler would annoy him and could be useful. Magneto would command him and tell him what to do.
erik would win because he is resistent to telepathic attacks because of his special helmet. his force field can block MM from geting erik in MM's intangable form.so yeah kurt is out of the equation.

What feats show Magnetos Force-field stopping intangible enemies?
We've addressed this in the first page, by the nature of MM's intangibility which is a form of density manipulation, whatever molecules MM has left, no matter how few, can still be repelled by any EM field, especially one as powerful as Magneto's.
I'm sure Magneto's field can tank some heavy hits.. occassionally.. but multiple Superman-level hits coming in succession at Superman-level speeds will probably be too much for it.
I don't think Magneto's "disintegrate him by tearing his molecules apart" move will work on MM. I think MM's the sort to actually work best against it, being a powerful shape-shifter and density manipulator, he'd be at full control of his own molecules.
First off Mags( in the past) has taken two nukes to the face, and was fine, Has tapped into the magnetosphere for a power boost, and it took both jean grey and professor X, to mind link to just get past his outer defenses, while he was schooling the X men, he can also reflect psychic attacks right back o the user. He can use any metals in your blood to harm you. And since we use CURRENT version, MM has done very very little in stormwatch, his TP even seems weaker.
Oh and just so you all every living thing, gives off some amount of electromagnetic field, this would also mean MM
i remember one of the episodes in batman brave and the bold where the Martian (MM) backed off cuz batman was holding anesthetic gas(bats knew MM could read this mind).
Another time justice league superman talking about MM family destroyed and when superman punched, MM turned into steel and didnt move like no effect.
When aroused to impatience MM will use all his skills, u decide.
The Martian is just way to strong and fast for Magneto. Mags does not have a chance in hell against possibly the strongest member of the Justice League.
I dont see Martian Manhunter hitting Nightcrawler since he will be teleporting all over the place. With Nightcrawler as a distraction and Magneto doing the damage, Round 2: Team wins!
