The debate started with Doom having killed Molecule Man, which was Post Retcon Molecule Man which took place in Fantastic Four Vol 1, 318 and the very next issue it was revealed that Molecule Man did not die and the reason was this:

Pre Retcon MM was nearly a god man, even LT was below him MJJ isnt beating someone that high up, i personally dont think MJJ could beat the evil (true) version of MM that fought Beyonder post retcon, but sneaking an attack on MM and level him knocked out seems entirely possible by MJJ standard.
