Red Lanterns spew out superheated plasma that can burn through almost anything(don't know the limit). The Symbiotes are weak against fire. Get where I'm going with this?

Symbiotes increase the anger of their host, blue power rings only work if someone hopes for something. Thus the Symbiote makes the blue power ring impossible for Steve to use. :/

That doesn't make the Symbiote not still cause the aggressiveness in it's host. Brock had complete control over it but he still was over aggressive. This is because the Symbiote feeds off said aggression. No aggression = no Symbiote.

Not necessarily. Since a green ring is on the playing field Steve could use his own hope as a power source. Blue is the most powerful color in the spectrum.

I thought Indigo rings are the ones that absorb/copy other rings. Unless you're talking about how a green ring can boost a blue ring in which case I'm pretty sure that it only works like that if they're working together. Then again you're the Green Lantern guy, not me.

You are right about the Indigo ring, but the only thing that a blue ring can do without a GL ring present is fly and protect themselves in the vaccuum of space, but with a GL ring present they can use their constructs which are unbelievably strong...

And that may be a possibility because the only person shown to use both the Red and Green ring was Guy. The Red Ring totally took Hal out of control. So, just depending on how strong the rage is.
Mace can control a red ring, his entire fighting style involves in channeling negative emotions and using them against his opponent. There is no reason a rage ring should cause him to go crazy. Besides Mace just needs to toss the Green ring, a blue Ring cannot do crap without a green ring.
