Oh silly me. In that case, I think the force fields might make the difference. Can't say for sure as this is the first time I've even seen the character. But from what it looks like, its more of a reason to make indie comics more of a try.

Oh and have you seen the Kaine (Scarlet Spider) vs Wolverine thread recently?

@laflux: I would point out that in close combat the shield only seems to cover his arms to help parry attacks. He's never used a full field in close quarters only vs bullets.
