KO only, eh? Can Kaine KO Cage? Dunno much 'bout Kaine.
He's basically a stronger, faster and all round better stat version of Spider-man. He almost KO'd Spider-man with one punch so he's no lightweight.
Ok well if he's strong an' powerful enough ta KO Cage, he might win cus I dunno if Cage is gonna catch him. If Cage does a thunderclap though, then he might be able to tag him an' punch him with haymakers, but I heard Kaine has survived an explosion an' even outmuscled Rhino, so as much as I love Cage I'm goin' with Kaine.
Cage should win. Very durable (doubt Kaine can KO him unless he lands hundreds of blows, if not thousands), very strong, thunder clap, has hit fast and well trained people before.
If Cage can even tag him, Kaine is capable of one shotting. Especially if he goes The Other, Cage will lose to The Other. Cage tanked a nuke though.

Wasn't that Cage from a future timeline?

Could be, but I can't remember. That was after Ultron took over and they came up with a plan to get to Ultron and he one shotted she-hulk there too.
@comicstooge@reaperonyx Age of Ultron
@reaperonyx: Pretty sure Nuke-tanking is considering high end showing for Cage because Bendis (known Fanboy of Cage) wrote it.
I doubt Cage would be able to tag a serious Kaine but if he does, he uses his Thing one shotting strength for the KO.
Cage has more durability than Thing nowadays. Pretty sure. Also Kaine's only supposed to be 20 tons isn't he? Oneshotting Thing sounds like PIS. Not that it matters since Cage traded blows with Namor underwater and hit Proxima Midnight so hard they were causing earthquakes.
@darkraiden I said Cage one shotted Thing.
@darkraiden I said Cage one shotted Thing.
Woah what. He has? That's....a big upgrade. Can we stop calling Cage street level? Pretty sure he's low to mid ....mid tier by now.

He's been written as mid tier for the past 8 or 9 years now since 2004 or 2006
Good fight here. On one hand Kain has fought two Spider-Men, the blonde bruiser Stunner and fought two werewolves at the same time. On the other, Cage has fought evenly with Wonder Man, hurt Namor with a punch, and taken a beating from Hulk. This is a toughy
Hasn't Cage gotten a significant power upgrade lately?
Not officially, but he's been written as a mid tier powerhouse for quite some time now.
I don't think Kaine has enough raw power to KO Cage. However, a no-bullsh*t Kaine isn't likely to even get tagged. If Cage can get a hold of him, he should win under these stipulations. If not, stalemate I guess.
Kaine punches luke, luke grabs arm, luke lifts kaine over his head, and its batman time for old kainey boy
I think Luke can soak more than enough punches to eventually grab a hold of Kaine. And from there it's Christmas time.
@god_spawn He actually also one shotted Vision right after that.
@god_spawn I'm aware.
IIRC Shuma-Gorath only appeared after Promixa Midnight left the fight.
@strider92: Is there really nothing Peter has on Kaine besides experience?
@dondave: Then it doesn't really have any validity. The Thing's soaked hits from some of Marvel's heaviest hitters for years. I understand Luke Cage has shown to hit above his paygrade like knocking beings like Ironclad out, staggering a hydrated Namor etc, but if Ben has tanked hits from the likes of Thor, Hulk, Namor, Colossonaut etc, then I find it silly for someone to use Luke Cage of all people 1 hit ko'ing him as a legitimate feat.
It doesn't really matter that she left. IIRC, it was Shuma-Gorath was the cause of the earthquakes the whole time before revealing himself.
Y'all be hating on Luke because he's black!
PREACH, BROTHER!
@comicstooge: They never give a brother proper credit! It's Christmas time b%tches, and Luke isn't going to be kind to the bad apples!
@god_spawn: You do make a good point. However, when do PIS stop being PIS feats? Cage has been a streak of taking on people above what his pay grade is supposed to be. Marvel could be unofficially raising Cage's power levels. I mean knocking out 3 high tier characters in the same year could jut be signs that times are changing for Cage.
@dondave: It doesn't matter because it's not consistent within those characters' limits. Wolverine for no reason has been nerfed tremendously in his main book. Does that mean we accept him as a crappy fighter or that he was given a bad writer that doesn't understand his character or the ones he is using when there are also consistent showings outside his main book that are consistent with a more consistent showing of said character to contradict his main book? 1 shotting She-Hulk was a future Luke Cage being used; non-usable. 1 shotting the Thing, someone who also within the last 1-2 years was stalemating and tanking hits from a freshly hydrated Namor (and within the same issue laid Cage out in 1 hit, albeit it being a sucker punch, before throwing him into a lake and pummeling him further.) and Colossus with the Juggernaut upgrade to name a couple.
I can understand giving Cage a power creep, but if we are to accept him one shotting those characters, now we also have to accept that he is now stronger than the Hulk, Thor, Namor, Colossonaut which I highly doubt you really think is plausible.
but we're not talking about the thing or namor, we're talking about kaine, who luke is definately stronger than.
