Can Batman defeat Luke Cage with ease ?
Luke Cage vs Batman
Cage is an ok fighter, not really all that powerful, and not smartest avenger.
the bat wins I say with some ease. does anyone else find it odd that cage leads a team?
I mean the writing has been good so no complaints at all, but just cage as a leader? I dont know I have hard time understanding why Dr strange is not leading the avengers or hell now that wolvrine is leading x-force wouldnt he make a better leader? (but then again I have slight problem with wolv leading a team at all)

Yeah, Wolverine lead the X-Men at one point and has a lot more battle experience. In some issues he or Strange seem to be more of a leader. I think the only reason he's the leader is because Bendis is a huge Cage fan and maybe because Wolverine and Spidey are involved in so many other Marvel titles.

Cage is the leader because he's a natural leader and he has lead a team before.Just because Strange is the most powerful member doesn't mean he has to be the leader.Wovlverine is not a better leader than Cage.He only leads X-Factor because he's a good fighter and backs up what he talks.People like that are easy to follow. You think someone like Wolverine can lead..Hawkeye,Spider-man,Strange,Iron Fist, and Echo..no..he's not even that smart."
You haven't read any X-Men books where Wolverine was the leader, have you?
Cage is a street-wise man but Wolverine has experience working with many teams. He is well versed in military, C.I.A., Samurai and Ninja strategy. (just to name a few) He has the experience of a man who has lived for over 125 years and speaks several languages. Wolverine isn't anything like Reed Richards but he is a heck of a lot smarter than Cage.
Not a fair fight... Batman wins easily.
Cage is the strongest personality in the New Avengers and that's probably why he's team leader, even if he isn't the most qualified. Not enough of them trust Wolverine due to his shady past and massive body count.

Good points Spiderfan. Good points.
Cage has an intellegence you don't find in a book, he also has intellegence you can find in a book. So this not intellegent enough to lead stuff is a moot point.
Cage could easily win. But won't.
hand to hand cage wins... he only has to land one punch or even just bear hug him. otherwise bats is beyond cages ability
Apparition says:
"luke cage would beat batman to death just before he fell unconscious to the bat knockoutgas"
I likes.
Colt Python says:
"Why do people keep over using.."nuff said" or "enough said" as if people aren't going to disagree."
i dont over use enough said >.>
I don't see how Batman could hurt Cage, let alone beat him. First of all there was no scenario set up, so I'm assuming this is taking place in relatively close quarters in neutral territory like a city street. Cage has steel skin, the only thing Batman could do to him is gas him or flash grenade him, but that won't work it Cage just holds his breath for a minute or closes his eye. Batman is a better hand to hand fighter but that doesn't matter at all. Batman's strongest attack won't do anything to Cage and will probably just injure Batman. Batman's best bet is to stay the hell away from him and have his jet or car kamikaze on Cage.
I think Bats got this one with prep time easy. But in a random encounter in would be a pretty interesting fight
Sling Shot says:
"Ican't believe no one refuted my Cage with prep time statement. I must have the SlingShot effect."
Remember when you made that thread comparing a CV user to a character? I said then you were Namor, but I've changed my mind. I think you're much closer to Praetor Lemnos. If you read the Legion of Super Heroes you'll know who that is. If not, this page should give you a good overview: http://en.dcdatabaseproject.com/Lemnos_(New_Earth) And yes, I'm ashamed that I'm linking to something that isn't CV.
Buck that is dope. I am a big Legion fan, Dan Abnett Andy Lanning Olivier Coipel era is my fave. I was never exposed to Lemnos. But now that you have introduced us it makes much to much sense. It my curse as well as my blessing. I just don't exist to everyone else...That is the SlingShot effect.

Without prep Batman might lose. With prep Batman wins.
Man,please stop
?
Stop what? Batman defeats Solomon Grundy, someone way stronger than Luke Cage with prep. He can pretty much just bring Batwing and bomb his arse down.
Without prep Batman might lose tho, he doesn't carry around that powerful equipment as a standard besides maybe explosive gell or mini chainsaw.

I didn't mean "please stop the Batman wanking" or something like that.
Do you see prep time in the OP?Btw,he's bumping a LOT of 6+ years old threads and almost all are mismatches (not saying this is the case)
Pressure Points
Do they really work on Luke?

I did that a lot when i was new, give him a chance at start or he will just keep on doing it because for the heck of it.
I think battles are allowed to be bumped just if their not mismatches
@parallax_hal_jordan: I stopped bumping mismatches. And I didn't try to change the rules from the OP . I answered the question and said without prep Batman might lose.
@leonkarlen123 Yep
@leonkarlen123: Yeah you're right,but:
Posting in a thread
- Is an old thread a clear spite match and you're bumping it just to point that out? Don't post, just flag it and a mod will likely lock it.
- Take note of the date a post was made. If you see something you disagree with and feel like replying, take a moment to look at the date. It could be years old and that person has changed their mind or is possibly even no longer active. Continue through the thread and join the current convos instead of jumping in the time machine and going back in time.
- If you're going to bump a very old thread, bring something new to the table. It's rather silly to bump something like "Deadpool vs Wolverine" with a post that only says "Deadpool" if it has been idle for over a year. I assure you, that's not changing any minds.
