Luffy wrecks.

I understand why people are saying Luffy stomps. But truthfully it's a stalemate, they can't do nothing to another.

Since their fighting on the golden gate bridge.reed could win if he gets luffy into the water

#19 Posted by BlackWind (6777 posts) - - Show Bio

I have doubts Luffy can produce the physical force to hurt Reed. Same situation for Reed.

And Fantastic would have no idea Luffy is a hammer, besides he could always pull himself back up.

@Sci_Fi_Rulez: Luffy in a landslide victory.

Give Reed some prep and then you have a fight.

@TerryBogard2014: You're kidding, right? Fantastic? pushing luffy? lol.

Luffy

#24 Posted by BlackWind (6777 posts) - - Show Bio

How is Luffy defeating Reed? I'm just asking, because I though Reed has taken hits from Hulk.

#25 Posted by nickzambuto (14124 posts) - - Show Bio

Is Reed invulnerable to physical damage? I wasn't aware of that; or are we just assuming because his rubber body?

#26 Posted by BlackWind (6777 posts) - - Show Bio

I thought Reed was more elastic than rubber.

#27 Posted by PrinceAragorn1 (18812 posts) - - Show Bio

@BlackWind: Well.. he's a rubberman as well. So, hulk's physical attacks are not going to help much. But, luffy's attacks are infused with haki.. one hit ko.

#28 Posted by redbird3rdboywonder (4249 posts) - - Show Bio

@BlackWind: Luffy has a variety of ways of taking Reed down, not only that he's immune to physical damage, much faster stronger etc

I have doubts Armament Haki would affect Reed, his powers aren't derived from a Devil Fruit. Armament Haki hits the real body behind the DF protected body. Reed isn't like that.

Faster, yeah, stronger, very likely. Though I'm skeptical he can hurt Reed.

#30 Posted by redbird3rdboywonder (4249 posts) - - Show Bio

@BlackWind: why are you skeptical he can hurt Reed?

I'd imagine Haki would allow him to harm Reed. It is a power specifically designed to ignore defenses that render you physically unharmable -- Haki was able to completely cancel Luffy's resistance to physical damage, for instance.

With Luffy being stronger, faster, a better fighter, and having Haki, I imagine he'd EVENTUALLY beat Reed down, even if it took some time.

@nickzambuto: He can't be cut by adamantium and it is very difficult to hurt him physically. He was strong enough to take hits from the Hulk and hits from Thing, who was possessed by the Worthy. Reed Richard by default is very malleable and it takes him concentration to be 'solid'. If he was to not concentrate he would literally almost be a pool of liquid, that is how 'loose' he can become.

Anyways back on topic, given that this battle is over the Golden Gate Bridge Luffy might actually lose if he falls into the water.

Also I am flagging this for being a duplicate thread.
