@egemensson: Movie or comic versions? I think GoG will win if movie versions but i only really read batman comics so im not as familiar with the comic versions..
@Tparks: tells me groot was beating down thanos, so this is a stomp. Guardians wreck. Groot does this by himself.
Loki's movie feats weren't impressive so I give it to GotG for movie Loki.
For comic Loki, he turns the GotG into cupcakes.

This is a completely different scenario. I don't think this ABC logic works at all here. Although I do think the Guardians can win even if it's comics because Groot, Gamora, and Rocket should be capable of one-shotting him, and it's just a matter of getting the shot off. I admit I haven't read a lot of Loki though. :/
Its not different at all.
Thanos>loki
And you said groot was beating thanos down at his most durable ever. So then just by listening to you, groot solos loki.

This is called ABC logic, and does not apply at all to this battle.
Thanos was not at full power, but he was at his most durable. This is a showing of strength for Groot, not showing that Groot beats skyfather level characters. That's very silly logic.
Loki, is powerful with magic. He could have an ant's durability, but if no one is able to touch him because he turns everyone into dust before they get near him, it doesn't really matter what his durability is.
That's why your argument about Thanos is not really applicable here.
If we're wondering if Groot's punch would take out Loki, the answer is 100% yes. If Groot is unable to throw a punch though, it doesn't really matter...
