Loki vs. Etrigan

Location: Themyscira

Rules:

The Demon battles the immortal liar,

Magical blasts; demonic fire.

In their wake: naught but Death,

No living soul to draw a breath.

The scheming trickster has a plan:

To control the demon named Etrigan.

But to his dismay, he soon discovers,

What has been found by countless others.

That no matter his power, his magical might.

The demon continues its relentless fight.

Eventually, the god falls, his power fading,

Fatigued from the onslaught; the constant evading.

The victor -- part demon, part mortal man:

The being known only as Etrigan.

Etrigan.

If Etrigan is as powerful as his DC animated universe, then Loki wins...

Etrigan(more often than not).

Why? Does he have stronger magic? or is it just because he has better physicals?

@chiq: I'd say a more rounded threat.

The only thing in combat I see Loki having over Etrigan is magic, and not to such a degree he'd take a majority.

Am I the only one who thinks post 2 is really clever?

@stormdriven: Post #9 for me. I think Etrigan said that rhyme, but the typist of #9 may have made theirs up.

Etrigans speciality is killing powerful wizards. It's like Blade vs Dracula, it's one sided matchup.

From what I've heard and seen from Etrigan, he should win a majority.

@noah_ouellette: i was just making a point that it's hunter vs pray scenario, because Etrigan is mostly used by Jason to deal with powerful sorcerers and magic users. He can conjure weapons that break through illusions and barriers, he can dispel and counter spells, he can project hellfire without chanting which gives him advantage over sorcerers that need incantations to project energy etc. He is just made to kick Loki's butt. He even has superior physiology.

But has he killed a Wizard as strong as Loki?
