Rotten gun says:
"lobo... superman isn't immortal so eventually lobo wins"
Does Lobo use magic based attacks, no, does he have spare Kryptonite laying around, no, if Supes got tired all he'd have to do is take a dip in the sun. Lobo would get bored more then likely and just take off.
Superman is stronger, faster and physically harder to hurt than Lobo.
Yes Lobo is immortal, a better fighter and can regenerate but Superman would put him down (KO him, incinerate most of his body etc) and win the contest.
Lobo would come back at a later date.

I agree.
yeah sups wins the onyl way lobo would win if he cuts him self and makes some copies and they all jump superman but in some version he doesnt display tha power any more.

yeah dont know how but vril dox removed that power from him. he can fully regenerate from a pool of blood, but he cant grow copys of himself any more.
Yeah thats what i meant as hsi new power no more copies so superman wins it be some fight though since lobo a funny character.

Whoa, whoa, whoa.
Lobo is strong enough to trade blows with Superman, and while not fast enough in the sense of running and flying and such, when it comes to combat Lobo has proved more than once that his reflexes are fast enough to trade blows with Superman and keep up.
With that in mind, Superman has the advantage in terms of power: Heat vision, breath, flight.
But when it comes down to it, Lobo is strong enough to deal damage, competent enough in combat to attack effectively and fast enough when within close-ranged to keep up with Superman's blows. And the fact that Lobo has no problem KILLING Superman or causing massive damage to surrounding areas, taking hostages, killing other people, etc., that gives him enough of an edge, in my book, to take Superman down.
Lobo 6/10
How many issues and cartoons has this battle already happened in? lol, always close always Superman.
"oh god...
haven't we done this a couple of dozen times before?
man, this thread is over a year old, let it die...

Personally, I didn't like when he took Jimmy as a hostage. He's the Main Man, he doesn't need to resort to that.

@jimjam: Batman has never beaten Superman in a canon fight.
Well the best he did was made Superman bleed in The Dark Knight 4. But thats new 52 dont remember Batman beating Superman, he has beaten Wonder Woman in the past in Batman Confidential issue no 52 although i am not sure if that is even cannon.

To my knowledge he has only even been able to hold Superman off. He has made a plan that might work on Superman, but he never used it, it wasn't really combat based, and it ended up not working well anyway.

It's canon but complete crap, IIRC Batman solo'd the entire JLA in that issue. They fought in the Hikateia and Diana beat him with one punch. The way it would logically happen.
Wha...? Nerve strike right under the breasts is a totally valid win for Bruce!@Killemall said:

The reason i think it might be non cannon is because it has a background story of the Joker as a rich and psyco killer who loves the thrill of the kill, who gets dropped into a tank of chemical and gets the skin. I dont think this is in cannon with the Joker's past from Earth 1.
It's been a while since I skimmed through it, but I think he beat just about everyone in that issue.@Morpheus_ said:

The best part was how he shattered his knuckles punching her, but still KO'd her with a kick.

@PikminMania: What issue was this in?
Not sure which one Supes won, but they fought in:
Adventures of Superman #464
Adventures of Superman Annual #2
Adventures of Superman Annual #4
Superman: The Man of Steel #30
L.E.G.I.O.N. #63
Superman Adventures #29 - PS: Superman Animated comic
Lobo #50 - PS: Elseworld
DC First #1
Here was one of the fights:
@PikminMania: That's Eclipso Superman. An Eclipso'd ordinary human was shown to be bulletproof and rip chunks off brick walls casually. An Eclipso'd human who was previously getting his butt kicked by Vril Dox stayed conscious after taking a blast from Lady Quark. Eclipso has been known to power up those he possesses on occasion.
Adventures of Superman #464 - Lobo kicked the crap out of Superman, while drunk.
Adventures of Superman Annual #2 - I might concede this one. But it's ambiguous and possibly retconned.
Adventures of Superman Annual #4 - See my previous Eclipso comment.
Superman: The Man of Steel #30 - Superman was powered up by Kryptonite-X and he punched Lobo into space before they teamed up and took down the zombots.
L.E.G.I.O.N. #63 - they don't fight in this issue, despite the cover
Superman Adventures #29 - PS: Superman Animated comic - Non-canon. But if we're using the cartoon, then Lobo KO'd Superman and Superman didn't win in this issue either.
Lobo #50 - PS: Elseworld - non-canon, and Lobo won by whipping out a grenade that converts sentient energy into an explosion
DC First #1 - possibly retcons Adventures of Superman #464, and Superman only "wins" if you count BFR.
I own every single appearance of Lobo. I suggest you brush up before you make bold claims.
@The_Last_Son_of_Czarnia: Iadmit I havben't read many Lobo, but I swear I saw a comic where Supes won. Oh well, must be my crazy mind playing tricks again...
You're probably thinking of Eclipso Superman. Or the time Superman bonked Lobo's head against Valor's.
I've seen people claim the punch to orbit was a win for Superman (while disregarding the time Lobo punted Superman into space), as was his rescue of Lobo in L.E.G.I.O.N. #63.
If you want to discuss the time Superman bonked Lobo's head with the Daxamite's, then we might have a debate.
