Last time Tribunal prepped against Dr. Strange, he used Inbetweener to help him. Both of them wanted to rid Strange from the multiverse, but both of them lost anyway. This time Living Tribunal is going to do it himself. So he preps again. However, Dr. Strange is forewarned this time so unlike last time, Strange will not be caught by surprised. Strange knowing of Tribunal's plot, he leaves the multiverse into the omniverse knowing well that Tribunal's powers will decrease once left the multiverse. But despite this knowledge, Strange is also aware that Living Tribunal can invoke powers of the All Powerful Entities of the omniverse just like he can. So this is a battle between two magic users. Who can invoke more powers from who? Strange awaits for Tribunal one of the planets of Dimension Perilous.

Nonetheless, LT wasn't really trying to kill Strange. He was still impressed by Strange's abilities, but if he wanted him dead he would have died. LT wins.

If LT could have used his own power to get ride of strange... why did he call the In Betweener >_>
Oh because: "The three faces of the Living Tribunal have already decided against you!Necessity, Equity, Revenge have demanded balance be restored! But in this case, I choose a higher entity to enforce our verdict... One who walks between all such concepts, the Inbetweener!" - Living Tribunal
In this arc, Strange was so powerful his presence was causing unbalance to the multiverse, and the Living Tribunal didn't want to allow this so he prepped to face off Strange. Reason why Strange was so powerful was because he was imbued powers from almost all the Principalities that exist outside of the multiverse

That seems like incredibly poor writing.
Also, he doesn't have these buffs in this scenario, I assume?
And since it'll be current Strange, that loses to everyone and is exceptionally pathetic -
LT wins.
(OF course)

Didn't LT have prep when he fought Strange?
