Liu Kang beats Animated TAS Batman.
So why put him up against a weaker live-action incarnation?
he does? how?

yeah but this is the movie version of him, who's weaker than his video game incarnation
@modernww2fare: Doesn't really matter.

I'm pretty sure Bats can do this too^ we saw Nolan's Batman take down 10 thugs at once in Begins, and an entire SWAT team in TDK. It's Liu Kang's durability that makes this tough
Batman gets absolutely slaughter stomped.
nahhh.
Batman is gonna get sent flying if he doesn't use his gadgets. Which he probably won't considering he'll probably assume Liu Kang is some random thug and try to slug it out with him. This Liu kang isn't MK/Fighting Game levels but he is meta Human and can defy physics and has a short range fire ball. And if we include Annihilation he can turn into a fucking Dragon.
(Side note I think Scorpion and Reptile should have won their fights in this movie, and would have if not for Plot. They were absolutely dominating until the plot came calling.)
@modernww2fare: If you allow Gotham Knight feats are allowed then Batman should win.

ohh. I never saw that movie, what did he do there?
@modernww2fare: If you allow Gotham Knight feats are allowed then Batman should win.
I don't see why they shouldn't and I was taking them into consideration. Nolanverse bats is pretty fast and tough but I don't think he is getting kicked through building tanking fireballs to the chest tough.
@modernww2fare: If you allow Gotham Knight feats are allowed then Batman should win.
Liu or Bats?
Batman. Because Gotham Knight is tied to Nolan Batman.

I fixed it*
@modernww2fare: He fought Deadshot and a few others - he showcased bullet-timing, punching people a distance back, creating force-field tech, etc.
It's Nolan Batman with the TAS voice actors instead.

sure, include him. IF it's canon with the Nolanverse

There's debate over whether is canon.
It COULD fit into any continuity, yet the film directly references Batman Begins and sets up characters set to appear in The Dark Knight.

I don't think I can see that force-field tech fitting in the movies though lol
@modernww2fare: It clearly can't - neither can a few other feats in the film.

about bullet-timing, doesn't this scene count?
@modernww2fare: Aim dodging.
In the animated film it's legitimate bullet timing, in TDKR he just dodges the aim very quickly.
@frozen: Since he's half-okay with killing, he should be able to use the sticky-bomb gun to shoot Liu in the head, right? He says "No guns, No killing" but clearly he's let people die in all 3 movies.
@modernww2fare: There's absolutely no way he would sticky bomb Liu.
He only killed Harvey Dent, Talia and her driver - each scene had massive context to as why he did it. He killed as absolute last resort.

bingo. It's the only way he would take Liu down, right? that or throwing him off the ledge like he did with Joker
@modernww2fare: No, he still wouldn't kill him. He killed to save Gordon's children and save a City from Nuclear annihilation, I don't see why he'd kill Liu at all. He'd only kill Liu if he had no morals.

screw it, include GK's Batman then
Batman gets absolutely slaughter stomped.

Lui Kang, Nolan Batman is not that great at hand to hand fighting
the one time I want the DC character to win in my thread, and he loses -_-
With Gotham Knight feats Batman wins for sure.
And I don't see why he isn't a very good fighter if his fights were results-based.
But, if you want something kung-fooey then fine.

nice, but I think his feat of taking down that huge group of thugs in Begins was even more impressive
Siding with liu i feel he is more creative, effective, and skilled as a fighter. I also feel that batman in the nolanverse wasn't quite as good as in skill per say or even strength. However, as always i could be wrong.

Liu is better than the film incarnation but with Gotham Knight feats he's faster and more agile (as demonstrated in the video above). He also bullet-timed against the marksman Deadshot (who caught a wasp with a toothpick).

that's anime, fights are always better in animes ;P
@frozen: any version besides nolanverse or maybe the other films batman would win. That was my point XD for once liu or MK in general would win lol.

No. The previous Batmen, while outlandish didn't really deliver in their respective fight scenes.
@frozen: ? Thats what i said i said maybe just maybe lol, but in general movie batmans lose to liu.

I agree but the OP allowed Gotham Knight feats which raises Movie Batman's stock.
@frozen: o he did, then my apologizes sorry XD
@frozen: Idk, Keaton's Batman doesn't hesitate to kill. He was also much stronger than Bale's
Yeahhh, even in that cornball of a film Lui still had more skill than Bale's Batman. Also, without his body armour and fancy gadgets, Batman isn't physically on a par with Lui. He's not as durable or as strong. Batman isn't much without his gear, basically, while Lui Kang is perfectly capable of beating up lots of armed martial artists at once with nothing but his bare hands. He also fought some seriously powerful opponents and won. I'm going with Lui here.
Liu Kang turns into a dragon and kills him or he just punches a hole in his chest like he did Shao. If Batman can survive fireballs that'd be great.
@projectorigin: or he just punches a hole in his chest like he did Shao.
That was MK9, not the movie.
@modernww2fare: It's still canon and it happened in the old timeline as well. But he still turns into dragon just saying.
@projectorigin: Yeah the dragon part, but not him punching through Shao

Keaton's Batman got the living crap kicked out of him by a nameless thug in the 89 film climax.

Yeah, none of this remotely true.
1. With GOTHAM KNIGHT feats, Batman wins - he's faster (easy bullet-timing against Deadshot, a master marksman) and stronger (knocking people back long distances, etc).
2. Batman was just as skilled without the armour. He beat down Ninja's with nothing but his bare hands - to be completely fair, his durability without the armour is nearly as good with it on.
