Lion and Tiger VS Bear and Gorilla
-Win by any means.
-No prep.
Bear solos, i am a biologist. well a marine biologist however i have knowledge of those animals and the bears are machines.
Bear and Gorilla have better damage soak, are both stronger and equally savage, lion and tiger go down here.
Look at what this bear did to Chuck Norris, idk what would make anyone believe these animals stand a chance.
wow .. if this is african lion and bengal tiger as i showed in my thread.. then it could be close..
i say .. in straight fight, team 2 can take it 7/10 times
but if the fight is in the jungle with lots of trees and bushes, then team 1 takes it quite handily 8/10 times ... bengal tiger being the MvP here
LOL XD
Damn, if only the Lion had prep.
what? :D
Damn, if only the Lion had prep.
what? :D
The op says no prep, like it would make any difference.

lol.. look at this ... you can't say.. prep might make a difference :D
Hey! No outside help. ;p
Bear an' gorilla.
The bear rushes t'wards the lion an' then starts smashin' dafuq outta that lion with heavy-a** swipes. Then he knocks the lion down, an' then he has lion fer dinner. The tiger runs t'wards the gorilla, but the gorilla punches that tiger in the face an' keeps punchin' till the tiger's too injured ta keep fightin'.
Felines win here. Siberian tigers have been documented killing adult bears. The lion could possibly take the gorilla. Even if it only inflicts minor injuries the tiger can kill the gorilla.
it was some kind of jaguar
It was a leopard(I believe).
I'd bring the speed argument into this but these two big cats aren't known for their quickness. Gorilla and Bear take this.
Bear is def the problem. Gorillas have immense strength too. If the cats are smart theyll tag the gorilla first and then double the bear. Theyd have to do swipes and bites to bring the bear down til they can bite its neck. Id say do to size and strength bear and gorilla take it 6-7 times.
Some kind of jaguar? How do you know it was even a different kind of jaguar? Lol it would be just a jaguar, since subspecies don't even matter to the debate. (Nerd mode activates in 3...2...1...) But none of that matters, either, because a jaguar and a leopard (the animal in the video) are two different but similar animals, with the jaguar being considerably stockier, and possessing the most powerful jaws of any cat for their size-a bite-force as strong as a tiger's. But here is the video for everyone's convenience:
Second team. Gorillas have the arms advantage
That's not an advantage. Like, at all. Cats have always been, and will continue to be, more muscular than primates. A gorilla's arms are skinny in comparison to a lion, and lions have nearly twice the muscle mass. Why do you think they live so far away from the nearest predator, excluding leopards who hunt them? In a face to face fight with a lion or tiger, it would be like a human fighting a cougar, except there's no chance of survival.

Gorillas are the weakest and slowest animal here, and the worst fighter by far. Their blood vessels are, like humans, close to the skin, so they blood very easily. And their skin is, like humans, very thin. One swipe across the stomach would ruin any gorilla. A silverback and a leopard were both found dead from "mutually inflicted wounds". Even a leopard can stalemate a male gorilla. A tiger would crush its skull.
@ xlr87t3: disagree, since i was in a rush earlier.it is an advantage cause once a gorilla gets a hold of the cats head, its over...do you know how strong a gorilla is? Men have fought off tigers at times at circus shows...also muscular doesnt equal power. Their legs may be leaner but a gorillas arms can easily pick up a tiger and toss his butt across a room. Headlock, snap done. Gorillas arms are way muscular and strong remember they too walk on them, climb trees, etc. lion or cat are limited as they cant stand up like a gorilla can.
Gorilla would own a tiger, theyre stronger and being more humanoid allows them to have the advantage. Gorillas are also smarter mind you.
Bear vs a tiger, depends on the bear honestly...
@xlr87t3: Gorillas are the weakest? lol finding them dead with mutually inflicted wounds doesnt mean a tiger would own it. Gorillas like bears have the advantage of standing upright. They are known to have an extremely powerful bite, not to mention very strong arms.
Still rooting for the cats but the gorilla is being underestimated here.

You don't get it. Lion are BIGGER that Gorillas. Body size, head size, arm size, and especially genital size. Gorillas don't headlock, gorillas don't punch. They're not King Kong. They just smash and fling their arms around. Gorillas ain't tossing anybody. People fought off tigers in circuses because the tigers were not trying that hard. Ever heard of man-eating tigers? Yeah, try fighting them off. The only good thing standing on two legs would do for the gorilla is give it a quick death, because all it's doing is exposing its stomach for attack. Gorillas are a non-factor, plain and simple. What's climbing trees & walking on forearms going to do?!? That's neither anything any cat can't replicate nor a factor in this fight. There is nothing a gorilla can do that will injure anyone in this fight, much less anything it can do to stop it from being destroyed by a tiger or lion in less than 30 seconds.

Lol yes it would. It would mean that they fought face to face, and that would mean that the leopard killed it. And that would mean that the gorilla is waaaaay out of its element fighting a tiger. For the last time, STANDING UPRIGHT IS BY NO MEANS AN ADVANTAGE IN THIS FIGHT!!! *Sigh* Lions can take hits from buffalos and kicks from zebras, both of which are stronger then a gorilla. Blunt attacks are out of the question. Gorillas are pound for pound weaker than all big cats, and lions & tigers are bigger and faster and faaaarrr more durable than gorillas. Do the math. The ape is kitty food. But the bear solos, depending on it's species, size, and sex.
@xlr87t3: lol ok. Anyways with the feats yoy just listed a bear isnt soloing a lion and tiger. Especially female lions which take down buffalo and giraffes and sometimes elephants.
Some Kodiak Bears can be as large as two tigers put together. And since bears are all about tanking and dishing out damage (compared to cats), it should be easy to see why a bear that size would solo a tiger & lion. But the OP never specified what species or size or age the animals are, so I can just say stalemate because the bear is a Giant Panda and the rest are cubs.
@xlr87t3: bears arent used to hunting and fighting predators that size the big cats are. They can outmanuever and tag team the beat pretty easily.
Grizzly bears kill and eat Black bears. Black bears are "predators that size". And it will be hard to outmaneuver a bear because of their flexibility. Unlike cats, who are flexible on their backs for running, bears are flexible on their limbs (particularly forelimbs) & side-to-side. The bear, thus, has more leverage and can defend much better against multiple opponents.
@ xlr87T3: Incorrect. Size is irrelevant when theres other factors here, when you have more at your disposal, besides no lions arent bigger than gorillas. Youre wrong flat out.
Who said anything about punching? A gorilla is stronger than a lion, period. Yes, they wpuld toss a lion like a rag doll if it had to. Again, gorillas are far smaryer, stronger and agile. Lol wtf? Who cares about genital size, completely irrelevant and headsize? Really? The only real advantage the Cats here have are running speed, but that will prove useless in a fight unless their goal is to escape. Gorillas and Bears have a key strength and standing up high advantage, thus giving it more maneuverability and options vs. a Cat who HAS to stand on all fours the whole time, all they can do is leap which a Bear would claw it's guts out and a Gorilla can catch and bite on the neck, head lock it. Game over.
Once gorilla headlocks tiget, its over or once he jumps on top of the tiger is at instant disadvantage.
Circus lions are trying actually when they attack otherwise why attack in the first place? Yet you toss a human inside a district with a gorilla that wont end well for the human. As for bears, theyd tear a lion apart unless its a honey bear.
First poster is right, team 2 wins easily gorilla has the edge over the kitties, the bear ensues it. The end.
The Gorilla is worth almost nothing in this fight. Either the Lion or Tiger can kill it without much difficulty.
The Bear is a much more difficult query. There is a very good argument to be made on damage soak and damage output that a large bear like a Kodiak or a Polar bear (or even a normal Grizzly) can solo them both, but on the other hand, it is much slower and it's paws have a much shorter reach than either of the big cats. Wolves have been known to fight off bears in the wild, and while this is done because of the pack, the point is that an agile and flexible enemy with a long reach and a powerful leap can get past a bear's defenses, especially if they tried to attack from both sides at once.
I honestly couldn't say. I could see the Bear taking both easy, and I could see either one taking the Bear alone. It all depends on how they would stack up in real time,
