Link V.S. Solid Snake.

This has to be a really close one with stealth and all, but with all Links arsenal, i'm not too sure.

I'm going to say link, as in ssbm he seems so agile, and with that naures (SP) magic he can put up a barrier that magic can't go through, so i doubt bullet's could, but then again, solid snake mgiht outsmart him.. ugh it's so hard... i guess we'll find out the answer in brawl ah?

but for now, please post on who would win.

Nayru's love saves him. He's invincible with it, and then a Light Arrow and Snake is gone. Or Din's Fire, lol.

Yeah i suppose your right, but snake is more realistic and all those item's acctuallly slow him down because he hasn't got 'hammer space' like link, but if he did i guess he would be much more quicker, and he would set C4 all over the place, or trip wires or use stealth or the bandanna. What about then?

Err, i think Link easily he has too many weapons. Plus i think maybe his Hylian shield could block bullets maybe.

But then if Snake has unlimited ammo and he caught Link off-guard it would be close.

This is close. The tripwires could work, but if Link does cast Din's Fire, they'd all go off....so yeah.....let's not forget Wolf Link. That would be brutal.....

Yeah but don't forget Epona either, he might be able to distract Snake with Epona riding away (she'd probably get shot, but at least Link would then have the advantage) then Link fires an arrow right in his face!

Pure risk his horse, LMFAO, yeah i suppose it would be a bit easy for link, but don't forget about the diguises that naked snake has (even though i put solid snake) and even a dog can't tell them apart, so maybe link can't.

Yes he probably could out smart him. But then ice arrows and fire (if we're talking about just general Link, like all them in one) he could hit Snake with an ice arrow and he'd be stuck then.

Yeah, Snake is too fast, but Link's weapons and magic put him over the top.

What do Link's more powerful artifacts actually do? If it's full gear, couldn't Snake just switch on stealth camo and then snipe Link from about 2,000 yards away?

Hell no. When has Snake time traveled, or fight villians with magic powers? LOZ is a far more imaginative universe than Metal Gear. Link's sword skills can quickly kill monsters in head on combat unlike Snake's cqc which is mainly for stealth. Link is also more acrobatic than Snake. There's no reason to believe he can keep up with Link or defend himself if Link tries to jump up & skewer him.

I really don't know. But I would say Link. Not only is he good with the sword, but he is quite skilled his arsenal of weapons.

@sirfizzwhizz: That's game mechanics. The Eye in the lore are supposedly able to reveal what it's invisible.

OctoCamo isn't invisible, it's camouflage. Stealth camo is invisible, but it acts off technology, not magic, how do we know the eye will work, especially when all we have to go on is the lore?

That's not counting for the fact that Snake doesn't need camo to be stealthy and can easily use darkness and cover to hide instead.

But the lore never stated a distance. If Snake is a mile away with a PSG and Invisible, what is Link going to see with the Lens of Truth?

Snake switches his controller to the player 2 slot and magic stops working.

Or Snake changes the console's date settings to 300 years in the future. Link dies of oldness.

I don't remember any other 4th wall breaking Easter eggs from the Metal Gear series...

Snake slithers his way to victory

Link has can do a lot of things Solid Snake can has never done and SS has never faced anyone like him. Link can travel in time, enter alternate dimensions from anywhere, reenter the regular universe from any point he wants, transmute monsters into frog, and lift giant boulders.

Solid Snake can't even hurt Link with the gold armor on and action replay infinite rupees cheat code on. Link can simply find Snake with the telescope and lens of truth. Link is also as good a tactician as Snake. As soon as he realizes Snake is hiding somewhere, he'll take cover, close the gap, or use his own ranged weapons. (Arrows, hookshots, boomerang etc).

Link should win.

Link has slain real behemoths yet you think a tank with legs can beat him. Makes sense.
