An alternative with prep minus the enterprize. Build a transporter, trap them in the buffer or just simple kill them off with it. Or possibly transport them into the sun. Build something else to vaporize them with, or kill them quickly. Develope a way to depower them, hes clever enough to do it.

He can't teleport them all. There are some things a teleporter can't "teleport" :P if one of them puts up a force field (like jean) then he should not be able to do it or if Storm creates a lighting storm then the teleporter should now work. He can't teleport them in the Sun that is to far away, teleporters don't got a range like that but he could teleport them in a wall or something or just keep them in the buffer till they die or disperse there energy patterns. Also for this things he would need some advanced tech or 50 years of prep to make them with the tech we curently got.
Phaser ? No way. I don't see that do shit to colossus, wolverine etc.

Phasers can vaporize people, I could imagine that being pretty devastating even for Wolverine, even though the man survived a nuke to the face. I should have added, when they are sleeping, ninja like >.> None of the telepaths can pick up a rambo robot, and phasers can be pretty stealthy!
I was probably going a bit overboard with the transporting them into the sun.
No designated amount of time on that prep, could be 50, or then some years to own the X team. Maybe even build a transporter that can get them to the sun :O! Storm if she can create enough interference, I doubt shes going to know to do that. :P Much like Jean throwing up a shield! Transporter is like the ultimate ninja tool.
Yes that is the problem with killing them with phasers some of them would still be allive after that and 1 good hit from Logan or Colossus and its over. Kity can also do damage here if she turns intangible. Going in there with a phaser is a bad idea.
About the teleporters he can't build one that would be able to send them in the sun not even the teleporters from Enterprise can do that, its out of range.
Also i got no idea if he can teleport Logan. That adamantium could be the problem here. Can adamantium be teleported ? Some materials can't be made by the Replicator and the replicator works somewhat like a teleporter.
I still say the best way is to blow them up when they are sleeping :P

he wouldn't need 50 years of prep. data is capable of improvising. i think that he could also hack 1000s of sentinels and up grade their weaponry and add on some multiphasic shieldings. He could also hack cerebro and gain access to alot of information to help him hasten the duration of prep time.
Data has superior knowledge and processing capabilities far faster than any of the X-Men could think. If he were one of their foes, he could easily be an equivalent to Brainiac. If you give him preparations, anything would be possible for him.
