Legolas Vs. Hawkeye (Movie versions)

Both get a standard wooden bow with 15 steel arrows (No explosive arrows for Hawkeye or anything like that.). Legolas has his elven daggers, and Hawkeye has 2 combat knives. Who wins?

Legolas easily, he's a much better archer, more skilled with his blades, and his agility is off the charts. Legolas doesn't miss.

Hawkeye missed more than once actually, and he doesn't have his trick arrows here, plus it's just a basic wooden bow.

The only time I remember Legolas "missing" was when Gandalf broke the arrow, and when an arrow went through the King of the Dead.

@Xanni15: I dont remember hawkeye missing so I'll have to rewatch the movie and I didn't see the no trick arrows. I still say hawkeyes a better shot but if it goes into H2H legolas wins no doubt.

@ULTRAstarkiller: He missed Black Widow twice during their fight onboard the Helicarrier.

He didnt miss for the rest of the movie IIRC. When he appeared to miss Fury, he was aiming for a computer so he could hack into the helicarrier and shut another engine down.

Hawkeye has the better accuracy feats for sure....

Legolas didn't miss, so why wouldn't he have been able to hit Widow?

I think Legolas would win. I think just the fact that he seems much faster is going to give him the win.

I'm not disagreeing, just wondering if that's what makes him a better archer.

I think this would be a great fight. They both have crazy good aim but id say hawkeyes is slightly better. H2H id give it to legolas barely because hes old as hell and has prob fought with weapons way more that hawkeye. So in the end id say Legolas after a good fight.

@Xanni15: Just better accuracy feats. Casually shooting a flying vehicle out of the air without even looking at it is a huge feat for him.

I think he missed Widow because they've trained together for presumably years, and know each others tricks pretty well. Plus, Widow has always been better in close quarters than Clint. She used the environment to her advantage.

He also predicted Loki catching his arrow when he fired at him, and chose an explosive arrow for the occasion.

Then we have his shot from another ship onto the helicarrier turbine. Calculating or not, that's damn impressive.

Yes, Legolas never missed. But he was shooting at primarily stationary/ slower moving targets in the movies. I guarantee those Orcs/Goblins/Uruk Hai weren't moving nearly as fast as those hoversleds the Chitauri were using in The Avengers.

If Legolas wins, its not because of accuracy. It would be because of his superior physical stats allowing him to react faster than Clint could. Pure accuracy, I'd still say Clint is a bit better

Hawkeye had better accuracy feats.

Hawkeye is faster and is a better shot, he could tag Legolas with an explosive arrow I'm sure. Legolas may have better reflexes but he is a bit slow. But if this were the comics Hawkeye wins by a landslide.

legolas wins easily, he is soo fast and agile and soo skilful and graceful, and he has never missed, gandalf block his arrow though it was on target, and his elvish mind has a bit of spider sense, and he thinks alot more faster and his h2h combat, is the best i've seen in middle earth

I was thinking about this because I am buying a new bow and I know this is a bump from the dead.. But everyone in this thread said Legolas never missed. I want to point out he did miss. In the two towers when the orc with the big flair/torch came running to blow the black powder up, he missed. He shot him twice in the shoulders! Just before that scene he said you had to aim for the neck, their armor was weak their. Obviously he missed the neck, as a neck shot would have dropped his ass. Hawkeye did the USB shot.. that was beyond ridiculous and is easily the highest accuracy feat I have ever scene from any archer.

Legolas stomps. Hawkeye is accurate but Legolas has more feats all around.

Plus, no trick arrows make this more in favor of Legolas.

Both of their archery skills are phenomenal, but I honestly don't think better archery skill matters here. If I recall correctly, Hawkeye has never timed any projectiles, whereas Legolas has. If Black Panther can time Hawkeye's shots, I'm sure Legolas can do the same, however the same cannot be said in reverse.

Hawkeye might be slightly more accurate but Legolas is faster, more agile and a better fighter.

Legolas wipes the floor with Clint. I love Clint but he's got nothing on Legolas, the guy has never missed unlike Clint who did miss Widow, and Legolas would've hit Natasha he's faster and more agile due to him being an elf, Legolas would shoot before Widow or Clint are even aware he picked up his bow. He's got centuries of experience, better physical feats that give him better drawing feats and accuracy. If it goes to H2H then Hawkeye is even more screwed. I love Clint but giving it to the elf 10/10
