@vegeta: Stryfe would win. Legion has multiple personalities. The manifestation of Legion's individual powers are generally associated with his different personalities, with each personality controlling a different power. Legion is also autistic and schizophrenic. Ergo, Stryfe would win.
Stryfe is one of the most powerful villains the X-Men have faced, but Legion is even more powerful. Consider this... the X-Men were able to STOP Stryfe. But the X-Men completely and utterly failed at stopping Legion, who was able to singlehandedly cause the biggest reality change in Marvel history (AoA).
Legion has all of the telepathic and telekinetic abilities of Stryfe, but also pyrokinesis, teleportation, and more. Couple that with an absolutely hellbent rage and near insanity, I think he'd literally overwhelm Stryfe and destroy him.

To answer what you said seriously, the only time Legion was portrayed seriously, AoA happened. Also, I think he is a confirmed Omega now. He should be considered a viable threat (to say the least), at the level he was during LQ.

It will show how easy it is for a truly powerful psion to enter Storm's mind whenever they want, and do whatever they want to her. lol I like when Bobby flash froze him and he still used his psionic abilities to assault them(including Storm) and knocked them all on their asses as he defrosted himself and when after Magneto.
I don't think Stryfe has what it takes. In all reality he's not as impressive as Full Powered Cable, or Shaman X-Man to be honest. They would make better matches, and i'm positive Nate Grey would win, with the Cable/Legion battle a toss-up. Stryfe gets put down.
@Emerald_General_Jai: Stryfe defeated both Jean Grey and Cyclops simultaneously. Stryfe should arguably be able to defeat Xavier, Emma Frost, Exodus, Mr. Sinister, Psylocke, the Shadow King, Stepford Cuckoos and maybe Proteus. Stryfe obviously can not defeat Jean Grey with the Phoenix Force or Rachel Grey with the Phoenix Force. So Stryfe wins. %Pr

X-man was all bloody-nosed and convinced he wouldn't live through his twenties whereas Stryfe never had those concerns. Stryfe vs. legion Quest era Legion is the true battle here.
