L.T Bonham trained military assassins on how to use knives:
He eventually had to help track down his best student and bring him in.
Here's round 1:
Their second fight:
Jack Reacher is pretty bad at fighting. Before the movie release people were comparing him to Bourne, when I saw the film I'm like "Bruh... where all dem borne skillz at?"

The book version is like Bourne.
Jack Cruise isn't as impressive, but still pretty decent.
What's with all the Reacher battles?
Why not? He's cool and I liked the movie.

Oh okay. It would have been nice if the director implemented that in the film. I was watching the makings and he wanted the action to be realistic. It looked really bad and made him look sloppy. It was a great film though.

Who do you think wins? I think it's relatively close.
@comicstooge: Not sure, bro. I think Bonham. The people Reacher fought jobbed way too much. Remember the bathroom scene? Reacher got cheap shotted and the henchmen were like struggling to finish his ass while Reacher was chilling in the tub.
I have been waiting for an L.T. Bonham thread for YEARS....dude is a bad ass.
Tommy Lee Jones has that effect.
Damn, Monster thinks Jack was sloppy in the film? Hell no. The last fight scene was pretty comic relief I'll admit, but that was on sloppy terrain. Jack's other fight scenes were crisp, and realistic at the same time. No crazy kicks, just short, effective, explosive blocks and strikes. Plus that reverse elbow to the face on the tall guy outside the bar was nothing short of visual poetry.. to the face..
Bonham wins hands down. Holy sh*t, that's possibly the best some of the fight choreography I've ever seen in my life.
Edit: Actually, Jack wasn't far off of Bonham at all, think I was just a little blown away by how gritty those fights were. They fight very similarly, target the same weak areas and use the same striking techniques. Jack appears to be in better shape but Bonham has an edge in durability and experience. Could probably go either way.
Just noticed Bonham has a knife and Jack is unarmed. Bonham should win more often than not in that case but Jack can still fight armed opponents pretty well, if he ties the knife up he might be able to do some damage.

Here's another fight scene I love:
@comicstooge: That's pretty epic. You need to recommend me some fighting/martial arts movies, I feel like I'm missing out.

There are same cool ones out there, for sure.
If you want a grittier, sloppier fight than the one I just showed you, try this:
