hmm. well kylo showed superior force skills but then he got wrecked by the girl with no force training so... maul
Just, stop.
Maul dueled two legitimate Jedi simultaneously (one of which was stated to be Master level and the other would become a Master), killed one and should have killed the other.
Kylo has nothing in the same stratosphere.
.........................why?
LOL. OK I don't think you are doing it on purpose, but it's like you're gonna make people start bashing Kylo even more with these threads. Common sense tells us Maul stomps. It doesn't matter if it's just movie feats. Killing a named Jedi >>> What Kylo Did.
Sure you can say Kylo's TK is better, but the skill is level is obvious.
Obviously Maul. Kylo may have shown more force usage, but nothing to suggest he could contend with Maul. Kylo didn't even have that much chance to prove his skill, he either had what seemed like low feats, or he was too injured to do anything impressive.
Maul stomps
Maul.
Totally depends on if Maul could resist being frozen by Ren's force stasis thing. Most likely he could, so 90% chance Maul would win. By the third movie, Ren will likely be MUCH better.
Just, stop.

Excuse me if I'm wrong but didn't Maul complete his training with Sidious while Kylo is still in training? Maul was going toe to toe with two full fledged jedi, Kylo could not beat a newbie force user (Marry Sue or not...). In a lightsaber duel Maul stomps, I see Kylo having more potential with his use of the force considering his Skywalker lineage, but that doesn't cut it as of now.
Maul absolutely murks Ren. Kylo Ren struggled against, and then lost to someone with basically no training. Maul killed one of the most prominent Jedi Masters of his time, at the height of Jedi power.
Maul slaughterstomps Ren. Was an amazing duelist even by movie standards, and was able to beat Jinn and Obi without trouble. He only lost due to arrogance and PIS. Ren has nothing to suggest he's on any level aside from raw force powers which Maul being a Zabrak with better skills, discipline and knowing many styles. Ren wasn't as injured as people assume, he was able to draw on the dark side through his wound to amp himself and was toying with Finn and Rey up to a point both of which were just normal scrubs who were still able to get good hits. Put Maul in that scenario and he'd decimate.
I'd go so far as to say that Kylo Ren would lose to pretty much anyone from the prequels. Even the nameless mooks in the Battle of Geonosis seemed more skilled. As of the Force Awakens, Ren is essentially just a half-trained rage-oholic.
@crushyourenemies: maul stomps
@elpizo: Kylo Ren doesn't have the saber skills to hang with Maul. His durability is admirable, sure, but that doesn't matter once he's cut into 10 different pieces before he can even react properly.
Jeez, I was worried about you then.
In my feed the image didn't show up, it just looked like you were praising Kylo over Maul.
Don't scare me like that!
Jesus Christ. What a stomp for Maul.

Against a famished, beaten up, ten year old Maul.
@thesithmaster: I was being sarcastic lol
Maul wins handily, but people are lowballing the hell out of Ren.
He got beat at the end by Rey after taking a direct hit from Chewbacca's bowcaster and a couple of nicks from a lightsaber, all while going though the emotional trauma of having murdered his own father while staring him in the face not 10 minutes earlier. I wouldn't exactly call that a fair showing. He was borderline bloodlusted which could of affected his skill. **
His lightsaber form isn't great, but he showed decent command over the force throughout the movie, certainly more than Maul showed.
**EDIT: And lets not forget it seems like a decent amount of PIS that Rey beat anybody with any training, especially considering he dispatched Finn with minimal trouble who was supposed to be among the top 1% of stormtroopers.
One was trained by arguably the most powerful sith lord ever and the other one was trained by fuck knows who. One had to be good enough to fight and win in an era where the jedi were numerous and strong/well trained whereas the other had no real challenges and the one small challenge he did have he bottled it.
I think we know who would win between the two. Darth Maul was trained in a time where he would potentially have to go up against the likes of Windu, Yoda, PLo Koon and the likes and had to kill them. Put Kylo up against a well trained youngling/apprentice or knight from that era and I'd wager he'd lose.
Yes, of course. It's Just... a bit of fun. Still, my version of Maul (famished ten year old) loses.
lol yeah
Darth Maul in a massive curbstomp. He was faster, stronger, a much better fighter and also more experienced. He should have beat bith Obi Wan and Qui Gon at the end of Phantom Menance but lost purely due to PIS.
