The one true Kyle Reese
The one true Kyle Reese
The one true Kyle Reese
Brian Austin Green's Derek Reese from Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles would smack both these two around.
I just saw it - was so impressed, could be one of the best Terminators yet Arnold will become a T-1000!!! That will be so cool, and I loved the easter egg and open ending.
I think the first Kyle Reese was portrayed as being more tactical and skilled, the newer Kyle Reese seemed more brutish and less tactical... he didn't really do anything too impressive like the original Reese, and he didn't really demonstrate tactical skills, and strategy. I think it was a limited amount of time the director had and since the movie didn't entirely focus on Reese like in T1 they couldn't really show that tactical/skilled side.
They were different characters with different personalities, I think the first Kyle Reese was more battle-hardened and battle experienced, he came across as more of a hardened soldier with lots of experience amd a very tactical mind. He seemed to be more of a veteran, while Kyle 2.0 was portrayed as more of a rookie with John taking him under his wing and showing him the ropes. It seemed obvious he was less of a tactical thinker and a much less experienced soldier. T1 reminded me a lot of Captain America - very tactical, serious, and experienced. Kyle 2 was a little less serious and had more humor, while T1 Kyle was very serious and had a hard time relaxing, I don't think he cracked a joke at all while Kyle 2 was joking around the entire movie.

The one true Kyle Reese, silly goose.

Micheal if were talking actor
2nd: Swap the two from their movies, would they fare better or worse?
They do the same. Different actors, but still the same Kyle, which shows when both Kyles did the exact same thing when they arrive in LA.
3rd: Fight in LA 1984, both have a week prep. Who wins?
Flip a coin
Now a real good question, which one had the harder situation? Thats a good question.
IMO, the original Kyle. The new Kyle had the help of plot memories, T-800 on his side, a train Sarah, and his team had alot of prep. The original Kyle had to fight that same unstoppable T-800 with no prep, no help, and dragging around a useless Sarah.
So in that regard, Michael's Kyle was superior.
The one true Kyle Reese, silly goose.
