Apollo's the only one who can pull off the Superman-clone act with style.

Ack! Those don't count. I like Henshaw, but he was always supposed to be based off Superman. I should have clarified, by clones I meant people like Majestic with no relation to Superman but who are obviously inspired by or ripoffs of Supes.

Oh then i think Majestic.
I question how many people who find Majestic to be uninspired or overpowered have read the series D&A wrote for him. Not to say that if you've read those you have to like him, but I find that a lot of people who don't like him get all their information from battle threads and don't actually know the character.
What would be a good story if I wanted to know about Majestic?I question how many people who find Majestic to be uninspired or overpowered have read the series D&A wrote for him. I do like Majestic. I wasn't commenting on him being overpowered, I was just saying he's far more powerful than Superman, which makes the Superman-is-boring-because-he's-unbeatable argument a bit weird.
@JediXMan: This. Before that is a story where he's in the DCU (Collected in Strange New Visitor) which I think should be read first, but it can stand on its own. That's usually what I recommend.

Probably only because the flying dude in the cape has swords forged out of the remnants of the most dangerous weapon to ever exist, tied to power that has given multiple entities the ability to warp reality to their desires by messing with the basic underpinnings of existence, and these swords have been shown to be able to cut through anything and greatly limit a person's access to vast reality warping powers. Tao had the combined powers of three reality warpers and after being stabbed he couldn't even move, let alone access his powers, and he was left vulnerable. It's not so much that Majestic walks in and stomps Kuurth, but I think the thought is that the swords would allow him to bypass Cain's massive power-ups by cutting him off from the sources of his power, then Majestic could deal with him.

replace the blades with prep or something. majestic's speed/reaction time + the blades isn't necessarily fair against characters who can't react to him.
Sounds a whole lot like Silver Samurai or Black Night with his blade fully powered, but even those guys are not beating Kuuth.

not so much like silver samurai, his wiki is saying he can't cut through adamantium. i guess the blades are more like the ebony blade to a small degree. check out buckshot's post, he covers it.
the thing is the creation blades are wielded by someone who has superman level speed, has nanosecond reaction time, and can move planets.

You're actually right, I exaggerated slightly. He went from being able to effortlessly recreate reality to being just strong enough to protect one person from attacks for a short period of time and being unable to do anything else but talk. Massive reality warping powers were limited to barely anything and when he used that up he didn't have the power to defend himself (another reality warper had to save his life and he couldn't even get up without help). Tao had more power than Kuurth to begin with and was left without enough to save his life. Why would Kuurth be better off than someone who could control reality?

Tao was not invulnerable and unstoppable. Juggernaut is, and kuurth appears to be more so. I doubt the swords would even cut him, they might if they were magical, but they are not. Even if they did cut him, they would not stop him. I've read just about every mainstream depiction of juggernaut ever written, and i have never seen him be affected by any sort of reality warping.

I think I'd play with disagreeing with you on Tao not being invulnerable. Tao said he couldn't be hurt yet the blades hurt him, and Majestic's comments suggest him cutting Tao was something significant because what Tao had become normally couldn't be harmed. So according to the two smartest guys on the Earth at the time (both with a history of controlling reality warping powers), Tao could not normally be harmed (the definition of invulnerable) but the Creation Blades could harm him because they were special.
Regardless, Juggernaut is invulnerable why? Because he has a connection to the energies of other beings. Tao was a reality warper because of his connection to energies of reality itself. Tao's connection to that energy was cut off and limited. All I propose is that the same would happen to Juggernaut. His power would be cut off and limited the way Tao's was. As for the swords not being magic, the machine they come from is related to all energy in reality, that includes magical energy. Also, Tao showed that his abilities extended to magic and yet that aspect of his powers didn't save him. The Creation Blades come from magic (as much as they come from science) and have stopped reality manipulation that includes magic. They may not be "magical blades" but they're not separate from magic.

You can't cut off juggernaut's connection to his power unless the beings that give him power choose to do so. Tao may have said that, but he doesn't have years of comic book appearances to back that up. Juggernaut does, its pretty much what he is around for.
Even if the swords are magical in some way (you are making an assumption with that statement), they won't stop him. Juggernaut has never been put down with a magical attack. Magic has slowed him down in the past, but it has never knocked him out.
Not counting Kuurth, I think the Creation Blades will shatter if they hit Juggernaut with the force that Magestic applies to them. The Creation Engine shattered before and these blades are made by that engine. I'm also skeptical of the blades harming Juggernaut too since Juggernaut is not made out of the Creation of Reality. Even if by a very slim chance if the Blades can cut Juggernaut, it wouldn't matter anyway, since Juggernaut is an eternal immortal. Majestic could hack and slash until he wears himself out and by the time Majestic gets tired, Juggernaut is going to cast a spell that would shrink Magestic into an ant and Juggernaut will litterally crush him like a bug! 0_0

@ShiZZmAhh said:No, Silver Samurai can cut through anything, he just limits himself to not cut everything. Silver Samurai controls tachyon particles. These particles have the ability to slice straight through molecules hence he can literally cut through atoms, but we know what splitting atoms do which is why he doesn't do it. If Silver Samurai wanted to go Kamakazi, he would slice through the atoms of Wolverine's adamantium and Wolverine would blow up like a nuke! Black Knight was the guy who defeated Nemesis the Infinity Being using his magical sword. Buckshot and THJ are covering their end of the debate of the Creation Blades. I think the Creation Blades may cut Kuurth, but I don't think it will kill him. However, I know for a fact, that these blades would be no match the real Juggernaut.@tron_bonne said:

Why can't his power source be cut off without Cytorrak's say so? Tao controlled reality and he didn't have any say in his power being lost and Cytorrak doesn't have his level of control over reality. Even if Thor hadn't already shown that Juggernaut's power could be cut off, I don't see why it would be impossible to believe it could be done. I know Tao doesn't have the history. That's why my second paragraph started with "regardless". It doesn't matter if he's actually invulnerable or not. What matters is that they're both connected to a vast energy source and it's already been shown that the creation blades can greatly damage that connection. I'm not making any assumptions about the swords. I never made the statement that they were magical. In fact, my statement was that they are not "magical swords". If you're saying I'm making an assumption about them not being separate from magic, then I don't agree. They come from something that could manipulate magic just like all other energy. Magic isn't a separate category where the blades are concerned. Majestic stabs him. His connection to his powers is weakened significantly. Majestic kills him like anyone else. Or so the theory is.

Why would the blades shatter on Juggs? Colossus could break his helmet, why couldn't the swords? Maybe if Majestic just suddenly became an idiot, forgot his millennia of practice with a sword and decided to smack Juggs with the flat of the blade instead of putting the pointy end in, maybe then it would break, but I don't see why a stabbing motion would fail when it hasn't yet. What do you mean Juggs isn't made out of the "creation of reality"? That's not a thing for Juggs to not be a part of. As for it not mattering if Majestic cut him, Juggernaut is only immortal because of his connection to the power Cytorrak has given him. If that isn't intact then he'll be dead after he's cut to pieces.

Because people have tried, with no success. Ever. Thor tried and failed. And as for what you said in response to that other person, the helmet is the only part of his armor that isn't invulnerable.
