In this gauntlet, Avatar Korra will put her firebending skills to the test, how far will she get?

All battles are an Agni Kai in the Agni Kai arena. Time is noon.

Data processing, Korra bias activating once more, logical counter being formulated, annexing all illogical Korra destruction methods, analyzing gauntlet, preparing endpoint....

My mainfream indicates that Avatar Korra will bypass three rounds, meeting her first legitimate challenge at four. However, the three rounds if merely a minor setback, for I have formulated immediate Korra demise methods. If by some human luck she manages to get past Zuko, who is an extremely skilled and experienced firebender himself, will certainly be defeated at five. Azula's ferocity, cunning, and prodigal talent with firebending will certainly be enough to overwhelm and defeat Korra. Perhaps even Zuko can provide enough firepower (Pun intended, inferior specimen) to defeat Korra.

She certainly does not make it to Avatar Wan. It is a shame, however, that the clearly superior Avatar in virtually all forms other than firebending, should be the one to go out first, in the beginning round. However, sacrifices must be made to complete my mission to destroy the Korra name.

I agree with the above. Her first test will be Mako, but she ultimately take the majority. If she does beat Zuko, It;ll be through the skin of her teeth, and she will certainly meet her end when she squares off against Azula. Korra has raw power but the latter has shown far more skill and finesse with fire bending. Not to mention, Azula has lightning.

In all seriousness though, Zhao has actually done more significant fighting with firebending

@arcus: Honestly what has Zhao done to show he's a good firebender? He's lost to Zuko..twice. Aang's comet enhanced firebending canceling out Ozai's is good enough evidence for me that Aang is better than Zhao.

@juiceboks: and Aang's only used scattered firebending moves in combat, never a whole fight or a significant part of a fight. Aang clearly wasn't as powerful as Ozai's max power

@arcus: Zuko may not have the raw power that Korra has, but he definitely has the skill to make up for that, and if she does get past, Azula's power, skill and agility is too much.

I think Azula is just more impressive in overall combat, a bit more skilled, more agile, and more cunning than Korra.

I agree with most here, but i think Azula and Zuko are more close to each other in skill than most people think. After Zuko met with the dragons he fought her togheter with Sokka and he was giving her a lot of trouble(although she had little space and couldn't get closer due to Sokka) and when they fought in the air temple they were pretty much equal. Azula still have the edge on power, wich i think she has more than anyone in the list and even Korra, but skillwise Zuko is not behind. He can even break dance fire.

About Wan, what are his best firebending feats? Sometimes i think he is overrated for being the first avatar, but i could be wrong.

Here's some of his better ones, Wan's got some of the best and most consistent raw power of any firebender, plus solid skill despite his relatively lower amount of feats

As to round 5 :

I don't see Korra having what it takes to take down Azula.

Zuko's proven himself to be better than Zhao in both their encounters, why would Korra stop at Zhao but not Zuko?

It took 2 people to beat him...

Anyways, I'm pretty sure Korra is faster than Zuko. I also don't see Zuko someone who couldnt use lightning, beating Korra.

Korra can't use lightning either, doesn't mean either of them are bad firebenders. Zhao also can't use lightning

Stops at Azula. I honestly love Korea but I don't think her firebending alone is enough to take down Azula. She clears everyone before her with relative ease except maybe having trouble with Zuko.

By S3 Zuko's practically dead even with Azula, she might be slightly better/more versatile than him but the gap's very small

I'd swap Zhao and Mako. Zhao is better trained (Jeong Jeong) and has vastly more experience. That says she beats Aang and Makobut loses the rest by increasingly larger margins. She won't beat any of the AtLA Masters.

Could have thrown in Ozai Iroh and Jeong Jeong, but the result would have been the same.

Zhao never finished training with Jeong Jeong. Mako's got better feats and is a smarter fighter.

Ya gotta say stop at Azula. It took Zuko and Katara to take her out in s3 and I don't even think Korra could really even beat Zuko

Technically Zuko could have taken her by himself (she was insane at the time). Katara also showed herself to be able to handle Azula in the Crystal Catacombs

He is to much especially at the end post dragon training.
