King Thor has the amulet placed on him by Dr Strange that prohibits him accessing the OF, after having taken out the Hulk & Thing, he faces Despero. Can he prevail?

@thenewbluebeetle007: Not really much to fight about. Best I'm aware, that version of Thor has 0 feats of telepathic resistance against someone of Despero's caliber, and I find his physical feats less impressive as well.

King Thor didn't become "King Thor", until Odin died and he inherited the Odin force.

Why not just make this a fight between Despero and (regular, pre lady) Thor?

On the contrary, might want to re-read that issue. As the scans show below, Strange put that amulet on him and cast a spell saying "The Odinpower is no longer yours" (not all of his own power, as Thor stated he himself alone didn't have the power to do so, but with help from the the council elite of the pantheons of earth?(i'm going to assume he means the other pantheon of godheads?), so he had no access to it when the Hulk & Thing jumped him.

Again, re-read the scans above. He doesn't have the OF in this version. It is stated in the op King Thor who who still has the amulet on him which prevents him from accessing the OF, so it's essentially an older Thor vs a Despero who jumps in at that moment.

@assman: Actually the writer I believe said otherwise on the whole Odin Force and amulet thing.It was a huge discussion months ago.

Please explain? So, your saying the writer came out some time later and retconned his own writing stating on page that Strange stopped Thor's ability from accessing the OF in that fight once he put the amulet on him?

i think Thor has resistance to TP, Thor resisted Emma Frost with phoenix force & resisted Rachel Grey, as well as Glory & The Corrupter the second time i can't remember where i saw it. maybe someone can find the scans

@assman: go to the thor vs hulk and thing thread. After a few pages, killemall shows a writers statement where Dan jurgens confirms that I thor had the odin force when he fought hulk and thing.
