King of Kings Tourney(Filled! Again)

What is a king? A true King? Is it a man born into power? A Conniving sneaky brother? Someone with the love of all? No.

A true king is a debator who fought from the start to the finish. A debator who goes through each unexpected round of life and somehow comes out on top. He may have been but a simple pawn before, but he strived to become royalty and to take the crown by force. So what's a king of kings? Well, to put simply, he's the best of them.

Welcome to the King of Kings tourney, a tourney to decide the best of the best.

The debater's. The debater's in this tourney are going to be separated into 4 Categories, with four participants each. Yep, pretty simple, overall, a maximum of 16 participants. And while you all start as pawns, by the end, one of you will be the King of Kings!

As well as a category, your character has a label that they will fall into.

Labels

This label gives you access to 6 perks each, each complementing the title of the label, and subsequently your character. You may only select 3 of the 6 perks and you may select your label(unless it makes completely no sense). Pick your perks wisely as you will not be able to change them. Also, use your perks wisely. You can technically keep each one secret until the final round, but if your using one, then it's not a secret anymore now is it. If your character fits under no label, there's a spot open, and you still wish to join, your just gonna have to pick a random one and hope for the best. Sorry :(

• Gunslinger - A character who mains with guns of any sort (ex: Vash the Stampede)
• Samurai - A character who mains with blades of any sort (ex: Samurai Jack)
• Master - A Character who mains with fist and/or skill (ex: Iron Fist)
• Genius - A character who's best asset is his tactical genius (ex: Deathstroke
• Ninja - A character using special, versatile, ninja techniques... or a ninja, essentially. (ex: Naruto)
• Techie - A character who's best asset is his technical genius (ex: Cyborg)
• Mage - A character who's best asset is their mystical genius(ex: low level Black magician)
• Elementalist - A character who works mainly with elements (Ex: Avatar Aang)

Rules

Yes of course, the rules and limitations. The core for each Tournament. While in each round there will be changes in slight details, a few things are standard.

Standards

• No information on your opponent
• Morals off
• Bloodlust off

Yep, the basics, and even these may change, just won't change through the rounds ;). After the standards of the tournament, are the roots of who you can choose. Generally what i'm looking for is Street to street+

Max’s

• 25 ton strength
• Mach 10 Reaction speed
• Mach 5 movement speed
• Medium Building busting(If only a single attack. If your character can piece it down, that's acceptable. Also if your character destroys things with weak spots that's also acceptable. Medium meaning school, museum, Hospital, Apartment building, etc. Nothing your character create's or conjures can go above this limit, unless otherwise stated)
• Luke Cage Durability
• Wolverine HF
• Dumbledorf’s magic

Not allowed

• Time, space, reality, & direct matter manipulation
• Mind disabling or reading(your character can still have TP, just can’t affect or read your opponents character(s) with it)

@cjdavis103: Yep. Except instead of team you get a character(perks, rounds, and other things may change that though). You pick out your label and category(both relating to that character you selected) and your smooth sailing. With that label will be 6 perks, you'll be able to use 3 of them for the entire tourney.

@knightofzero: Cool! How would you label him, i haven't played the game sadly.

@cor_tsar: so when do we pick perks and stuff?

@cjdavis103: As soon as each spot is filled. The organizer(or myself if no one picks it up) will present to you 6 perks. Out of the 6, you will pick out 3. These 3 perks could either lead to more choices to make(simple one though that you can make on the spot) or just a simple upgrade. The final round also allows for a very massive choice and tide turner, but that's all i can say about that. And the 3rd round also allows for a choice, just not as big as the final round's choice.

And I highly recommend persona 4. Really great game with a fantastic story

@knightofzero: Part of the Shin Megami Series right? I would expect no less, just about everything associated with Shin Megami has produced very well made, if slightly unknown, Video games. Sadly, i've sold my PS2, and i've never had a PS vita to play the remake. Thus the sadness, i actually missed a lot of high quality ps2 games, and i regret selling my PS2 everyday.

@cjdavis103: Only one, sorry. Plus Sora's waaaaay over the limits. I'm probably gonna be checking these other characters out as well, but i know Sora breaks every max as well as breaks the no no's. Sora EoKH is pretty smooth since i don't believe he has stop, but then again you can only pick one, lol. It'd be funny if you got to the final round fighting yourself right?

@cor_tsar: solo are we using one. Character on a team with four others (8 on 8) or single on on one debates?

@cadencev2: You're definitely picking one character. But a king must make alliances, lol(For the most part 1v1, that will shift at a certain round though, nothing too extreme, just shifts to 2v2)

@joewell: Lol, yes. Percy uses a sword, he fits well enough. Just know that the samurai label will influence your perks in a more samurai esque/ blade oriented direction. If you're cool with this, then it is done.(you can change your label up until the first round and every spot is filled)

What exactly will perks be like? Can you give an example of what they would do?

@joewell: Sure, examples won't affect much. Some perks add fodder, other add a natural boost in abilities, some allow for extra stealth(specifically this is one of the samurai's perks), others allow for companions, and there's one called Extra in each label that allow for one extra ability, piece of gear, or item that matches up to the label it's classified in.

@cor_tsar: Ah, gotcha.

@cadencev2: Your character will only get 3 perks, not many i know, but i could only cook up 6 perks for each label. Although there's few, they're all very useful(especially considering the labels coincidence and how a good debater could use them), and 3 from one Samurai could be completely different compared to 3 from another Samurai. And so forth and so forth.

@norrinboltagonprime21: I'm sorry Black Bolt :(, i know few characters who use electron molecule disrupting? That is what he does right?

@cor_tsar: What if a character falls under multiple media, could they be used in any category?

@skit: Yes, but you'd have to use the feats from the respective media you're putting him/her under.

@cor_tsar: I will fill in a comic spot with Luther Strode with Master and Mage perks.

Black Bolt forgives, he was just annoyed that he wasn't invited because he's a king.

@cadencev2: Maybe i explained this too poorly(i am a very poor explainer and organizer). Essentially, each label is a perk set. Each one has 6, and you get to choose 3. And you can pick only one set of perks. You want to just go with Master? Or you just out. I ask because maybe you're sketchy with just one perk set. But i hope you're still joining :)

so one perk? What do the 6 sets look like for this one perk? I guess I pick Master regardless.
