Who would win between these two DC heavyweights?

Kalibak:

Superhuman strength, durability, and endurance.

Solomon Grundy:

Superhuman strength and endurance.

It really does depend upon which incarnation of Grundy is used.

In his most powerful incarnation his strength was around the level of Superman (at that time) and his level of endurance and durability was equally high as shown by his huge slugathons with some of DC's top hitters.

He was stupid but single minded and quite often cunning.

He has however had incarnations that although smarter where no where near as strong or as durable.

Kalibak on the other hand is almost physically as strong as Orion or Darkseid. DC at one point rated him around half the strength of Superman. So although not as strong as some of DC's top hitters (like Wonder Woman or Capt Marvel), he made up for this with his unbridled savagery.

In addition, as befits the son of Darseid and a New God, he had massive endurance (able to fight for days and even weeks without rest) and was able to withstand blows from beings like Orion without serious injury.

He used a beta club, which was composed from an almost indestructible Apocalypse alloy, and in addition to be able to hit with like a metal bar, which would amplify the damage he could deliver physically, was capable of firing devastating force bolts and nerve beams that caused living beings intense pain.

I don' think that the last setting (pain delivery) would work on Grundy as he was effectively dead but then again he did feel sensations...

Overall, I would say that unless this was Grundy in his most physically powerful incarnation, Kalibak would win.

Grundy wins. Kalibak can barely take a hit from donna troy or one hit from superman at times. There is no version of kalibak that can defeat grundy. The only grundy I see losing is the incarnation that use to fight batman and get layed out. Besides him kalibak loses to any other version sadly.

Considering that Dona Troy's powers have sometimes been shown at levels approaching those of Wonder Woman that does little to imply that Kalibak is weak. Far from it in fact. For instance, the recent highly intelligent version of Grundy that faught the JLA was by the looks of it nowhere near as powerful as older dumber incarnations. This version as well would not be able to stand up to Kalibak.

depends on Grundy........Kalibak could kill him a couple of times.....but Grundy would come back and possibly come back strong enough to take anybody. So Grundy by way of never dying.
