Fighting on earth near the super sun.
Thanos has all of he's tech and is using he's intelligence to the MAX.
Both aren't holding back

If thanos has any of those gems he stomps superman

I dont see THanos beating Kal kent not even with  the soul Gem. Incomics it clearly states the man has no weakness. In his weakest form this man could blow out a giant sun. THis man is above silver age Supers. This man be moving Galaxies with his eyes lol. He is way smarter than THanos and powerful. Not even time and space can Stop him even worse with His Mxy powers in the miX Thanos is losing badly. One thing i can say for Kal kent he doesnt lose much on the Vine. NOW if Thanos had more gems well the fight would go to Thanos.

In his fight with Seth where galaxies was destroyed he was at his strongest, Thanos fought base Odin, and those blasts he hit Thanos with were nowhere near Galaxy busting, they did not even bust Asgard lol whereas the energy in his fight with Seth destroyed galaxies and reignited dead stars

Odin wasn't at his strongest here. In fact, he had no amps for this fight. He was stronger when he took on the Celestials. He had all the powers of Asgard, both present and past, plus thousands of years of prep. He was probably at he strongest when he fought Infinity (himself). It was said that this Infinity was actually tapping into the powers of the real Infinity.

Besides, Thanos has better durability feats than just going against Odin.

His TP has only been used against fodder like Lex Luthor's henchmen. Nothing to suggest it could affect Thanos.

Power wise could go either way. Thanos was going to use the power of soul gem to destroy the sun, but as expected he was eventually stopped.

Galaxy part though I have no idea what to think of it. He was pushing it with force vision and failing, though that's still pretty good. What I don't understand is how the force vision works.

BTW there is a later story where soul gem on its own goes on a rampage and creates pocket universes one after another, stacking them up in the Malibu universe which causes the reality to break apart.

That's pretty heavy display of power though I am not sure if Thanos could weild it with that much control.

Although not an actual feat, according to Kal himself his super breath could "snuff out a red giant star."

A Universal Durability Missile Thought , He did contain a Super nova with kyle i believe ? and Contained One megaton blast while weakened ?

@claymore1998: It was at the end of DC one million. Solaris went supernova , Kyle contained it but was struggling before Kal Kent teamed up with his force vision to contain it

He wasn't failing IIRC but struggling to hold it back on his own and wouldn't have been able to much longer

In any case even if he was doing only half the work with Titano, that still well....half a galaxy . Which is *considerably * more than one star or indeed several

The gems honestly depend on their user as to how powerful they actually are. Several of the Elders weren't even aware they were using the gems ( and hence not using them properly ) when Thanos took it from them

And although of course Thanos is far more competent than say the elders or the Infinity watch , I still wouldn't go around assigning feats he didn't perform , I'm afraid

It just seems like too much speculation. Based on feats ( and especially a healthy speed advantage ) Kent should win IMO
