This is the Superman Prime that tortured Mxy versus the Superman of the 853rd century versus silver age Superman. Battle takes place in space with a yellow sun shining on all of them. Win by death ko or incapacitation.
Kal Kent vs Silver Age Superman vs Superman Prime
@dccomicsrule2011: My first ever reply. :-) Care to elaborate?
Welcome to Comic Vine! Kal Kent should take this. I believe his strength and other physical attributes are far more superior than those Silver Age Superman. He is very versatile and has a larger variety of powers (excluding Silver Age's random PiS powers such as Super Mathematics and Super Sewing) such as force vision, electromagnetic pulse, telekinesis, telepathy, technopathy, and some 5th dimensional reality warping/magic. I'd say Silver Age Superman is a non-factor here since he is very vulnerable to magic and the other two outclass him in general. This will mostly be between Superman Prime and Kal Kent, with Kal as the eventual victor. Also, Superman Prime roflstomping Mr. Mxy was PiS.
@tensor There is no team.
@mysticmedivh: My bad Kal Kent
@tensor: No teams here. It's a one on one on one. Sorry if that was unclear.
@mysticmedivh: Thanks for the warm welcome. I really just wanted to see between Prime and Kal Kent but that had been done a couple times before so I added SA to avoid being flagged.
SA Superman or Prime
Kal Kent >>>>> Prime.
It really isn't very close either.
@frozen: I see Prime as superior
@reaverlation: He is a super-amped version of H'el, not only is he stronger than Prime and rivals him in striking power but he's far, far more versatile.
Didn't Superboy Prime bumrush through hundreds of Green Lantern constructs like tissue paper and punch holes in reality and ish like that?
Didn't Superboy Prime bumrush through hundreds of Green Lantern constructs like tissue paper and punch holes in reality and ish like that?
40 Green Lanterns. And Kal Kent and SA Superman have been to the punching holes in reality and done that.
Didn't Superboy Prime bumrush through hundreds of Green Lantern constructs like tissue paper and punch holes in reality and ish like that?
Yeah, but those Lanterns were featless, and weak to boot. I mean getting killed by freeze breath? I thought the GL ring protects against that type of thing?
@frozen: But H'el<Pre 52 Superman to you and Man-Prime>>>>>> Pre 52 Clark.
@dccomicsrule2011: Even Rookie Lanterns have withstood black holes and suns.@dondave can say more
@reaverlation: I said ''super amped'' version, he is far too versatile and powerful.
It's akin to fighting 40 featless Kryptonians, correct?
One Lantern may be featless. 40 is another level --- Prime >>>> New Earth Kryptonians.
@dccomicsrule2011: Even Rookie Lanterns have withstood black holes and suns.@dondave can say more
Which makes them below average since they were getting one shotted by heat vision and ice breath.

...I never said it wasn't impressive. My point was that some of those Lanterns were absolutely pathetic.

Prime is more powerful than normal Superman, by quite a large margin.

They weren't pathetic. He was just more powerful. In the same storyline, he was easily re-arraning large planets at high-speeds, retconning reality with his punches and prior to the Lantern instance, flew so fast that Earth's heroes needed to slow him down to catch him.

It should since they fly in space.
@frozen: Not really

...again, when did I say he freaking wasn't?

I don't care how powerful he was. Lantern rings should protect him from extreme temperatures, getting one shotted by something like ice breath is ridiculous.

Exactly. So unless Prime can freeze at absolute zero temperature, I find them going out that way to be simply pathetic.
@frozen: Not really
He can calculate billions of situations in a matter of seconds, and also act upon them in a matter of seconds, Prime on a general level is dumb. With the power to calculate so many situations, it's undeniable that he'll use all of his powers, additional powers include:
Due to other alien/extradimensional/supernatural admixtures in the Superman Dynasty bloodline, he also has additional powers such as superhuman ESP, force vision, telepathy, electromagnetic manipulation, and an additional 10 senses
He could mind-rape Prime, his force vision could slow Prime down considering it's held apart (briefly) two Galaxies and with his own striking power pummell Prime while utilizing other powers.
"Faster than a speeding Tachyon, more powerful than a collapsing star, and able to leap between planets in a single bound"
^ Gives you an idea of how superior he really is.
@frozen: So Kal is faster?
Never TP'd anyone.
He strained highly to hold apart half a galaxy
FTL and can jump like the Hulk
@dccomicsrule2011: They didn't get one-shotted because of that, he briefly immobilized them and in the next panel, blitzed them into pieces.
That's more of a testament to Prime's power than the GLs being weak. In the scan he even says "Cold? You don't know cold."
@dccomicsrule2011: Not sure if absolute zero would really work on them to be honest since absolute zero is only a few degrees colder than space. With that said this is a comic so I guess it can be argued primes ice breath is just that cold despite that not making any sense.
@frozen: So Kal is faster?
Never TP'd anyone.
He strained highly to hold apart half a galaxy
FTL and can jump like the Hulk
- When did I say he's faster? The speed difference is inconsequential
- He's scanned an entire planet and his thought proccesses operate on a much faster level. Nothing suggests Prime can resist it
- It was said ''Not even I can hold apart an entire Galaxy'' which indicates he briefly did it
Honestly, Thanos may be a better match for Kal Kent but he'd still lose to Kent.
SA Superman.
He's the fastest, the strongest and the most durable here.
I don't see why he should lose.
Kal Kent is more powerful. He can calculate a billion situations and act upon them in a matter of seconds, he's also very versatile.
Prime should be the most durable, considering he survived a Universe busting attack. SA Superman however is stronger and faster.
@frozen: They were frozen solid inside out (hence the reason they broke into multiple pieces when he hit them), which means they were incapatated, which means they were beaten, which means they were, in fact one-shotted.
@nickzambuto: That's the point; Lantern ring should protect them against such attacks - in fact, I recall Salaak freezing something to near absolute zero temparature before. There is nothing to suggest those Lanterns were anything but cannon fodder.
@dccomicsrule2011: If they were left incapitated in a frozen state, that would not necessitate a one-shot. There's a difference between immobilizing your opponent, and taking them out with a one-shot KO or kill.
It makes about as much sense as Prime retconning reality. Or Prime escaping a Speed-Force dump from 3 Flashes.
@frozen: Via battle forum rules, they were beaten. And they were taken out by one ice shot, which means there were beaten via being shot with ice...once. I don't know about you, but that is a one-shot in my book.
As I said before, there is nothing to suggest those GL's were anything more then fodder.
@dccomicsrule2011: The Battle Rules stipulate incapacitation can be used for a win, that wasn't shown in the actual comic - if he had left them frozen and flew away, he'd have won but it's hardly be a one-shot because in the comic itself they were still conscious (as they spoke dialogue while frozen).
He froze about two Lanterns, the other 38 he speed-blitzed, used heat-vision and physically killed.
He's seen snapping Hal's arm, seemingly. Hal is a more established Lantern, he didn't do much better than other Lanterns other than merely surviving.
@frozen: LOL. I just feel we're arguing semantics at this point.
To make a long story short, yes, Prime taking out 40 or so Lanterns is impressive, far above what any herald level character can accomplish, but I still stand by my opinion that neither of those Lanterns.
Either way, we both agree on the outcome of this fight right?
Either way, we both agree on the outcome of this fight right?
That Kal Kent wins? I agree with that.
What has KK done to suggest he is stronger?
I didn't know KK was that fast, so I'll give you that advantage.
SA Superman
Superman-Prime
Kal Kent
Kal Kent >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Prime, too easy.
What has KK done to suggest he is stronger?
I didn't know KK was that fast, so I'll give you that advantage.
He briefly held a Galaxy with his force vision, then while weakened punched through time.
