Juggernaut has a indestructable Jetpack on his armor. He sees the Enterprise and wants to take it out.

Picard was told by Deanna that she cannot breach his defences, but she senses he wants to kill them. They have 5 minutes prep.

Who does this go down?

No BFR.

Deanna would just only sense his emotions, thats what an empath does. its like being able to sense true emotional intentions. but anyways. most of the ray shields are designed to deflect energy attacks since he is a solid he could break through the hull of the ship. but he would still have to get past forcefields which would stop him. but once again its just him smashing through walls until he gets to the engine core and some how manages to detonate it.

Having a photon torpedo propel him through space stops him.

Ray Shields? That is Star Wars.

In Space, all his power is useless because he can just be beamed away into a sun. He has no protection against transporters. Also they could just run away because they would be infinitely faster than he is.

Juggs simply can't do anything to the Enterprise because it is faster and better equipped.

You can't eliminate the Juggernaut in any way but BFR. You essentially made it impossible to beat him. No non-reality warper would be capable of beating him without BFR.

Could the Enterprise use the transporters or tractor beams to pull the Gem out of Juggernaut?

Nothing can hold Juggernaut in place.  He had initial kinetic energy due to the jetpack.  That's all he needs in order to move in any given direction.  A tractor beam wouldn't stop him from moving, he'd just will himself forward with the momentum he already built up.

They use the teleporter to teleport him on board but they mess around with it. The teleporter breaks each molecule up and transports them and reassembles the molecules right? So they mess around with the way they reassemble so that when Juggernaut is transported on board his molecules reassemble in a way that he's inside out! Not sure if this would work but I saw a movie which was a skit on Star Trek and the transporter did this.

I figured they could prevent him from moving in the first place, guess they could just transport the jet pack off him and move out of the way to let him fly by.

That probably would kill Thunderbolts Juggernaut.

Juggernaut is a cheap character. The way he's designed, there are essentially only two ways to ever beat him, barring high end cosmic level characters;

1) Get rid of him (BFR).

2) Remove his helmet and then fry him with psionics.

Unfortunately, most Juggernaut fans will argue that his personal forcefield should make it impossible to remove his helmet with any kind of physical attack, even though that was classically one of the more common ways of defeating him. In this case, they essentially end up making BFR the only viable way to deal with him.

If you want a quick answer to the situation: no, the Enterprise is not capable of actually harming the Juggernaut. Their weapons simply do not possess enough firepower. The can, however, easily knock him around through space or outmaneuver him. Given their level of technobable, and Data, they may also be able to incapacitate him the same way Nimrod did (apparently high frequency sonic waves somehow screw him up, even though he's supposed to be immune to physical force). Of course, sonic weapons won't work in space, so they'd have to either bring him aboard (bad idea, though given their track record, that won't necessarily stop them), or keep him pinned on the planet (much easier).

LOL no forcefield in StarTrek is going to stop the Juggernaut..  Skip to 2:50 -- 3:00

Juggernaut will walk past the forcefield and overload them, causing their generators to blow up.

Besides.... Juggernaut is too big to be walking inside those 12x12 corridors. Just by walking, he would turn that corridor into a 25x20...

Tractor Beam... Won't work.... Considering a tractor beam is inferior to Jean Grey TK.

Photon Torpedoes and Phasers... Juggernaut can certinally cuase a feedback overload with the Phasers, and Proton Torpedoes will do nothing to him really. There is one way to save themself though. Turn the Enterprise around "let's get the hell out of here Warp 9! ENGAGE!"

Tractor beams can cause earthquakes. See TNG episode "Devil's Due". Not saying they'll do the trick against the Juggernaut, but the Enterprise can give him new kinds of stress.

I am going to go with the Enterprise in this fight. Juggernaut will not be able to catch them so he can't beat them and they'll have time to figure out some combination of warp fields, tractor beams, transporters, deflector dish, nanotechnology, holotechnology, bioweapons, and Treknobabble to accomplish a ko. Use the ol' deflector dish to interrupt the transdimensional connection between Juggernaut and Cyttorak or set up a harmonic energy wave to shatter the gem. Transport the gem out of Jugs body or rip it out with a focused tractor beam. Lots of options for Enterprise, no way for Jugs to catch the ship.

Do you remember the saying, "There is no spoon."?

That applies here. There is no Gem. In the beginning it might have appeared physical, but after the moment he became the Juggernaut the Gem became abstract. And the problem with using the Deflector Dish to interrupt the Trans-Dimensional connection to Cyttorak is the Personal Forcefield Juggernaut has to prevent that.

Employ a ruse to get Jugs to unknowingly enter a holodeck program showing him winning the fight and landing on a peaceful planet. Then he'd drop his forcefield...then use the deflector dish to interrupt the trans-dimensional connection with Cyttorak...then vaporize Cain Marko the instant they're able.

@Malonius: Don't forget the inverse tachyon fields!

@Cypher's Gambit: The Gem was always a physical thing, it just wasn't part of Juggernaut. There was an arc where he even went and got the thing and had Black Tom touch it, which split the power of Juggernaut evenly between them. After that was over and he got all the power back, he chucked the thing into space.

Apparently whoever wrote the Onslaught arc didn't know this though, or didn't care, and thought it would be cool to have Onslaught rip the thing out of him.

@Freefa11: The Gem is only physical when it has to be. It appears anywhere it wants to because the Gem is known as "an essence of Cyttorak". Why do you think that even when Juggernaut threw the Gem in space, a few issues later the Gem is inside the drawer of his room? Can't really explain it huh? Well... That's how magic works. It is science defiant and it is a more abstract idea (of a gem) than something concrete & physical. Here's another point that needs to be taken into consideration. Throughout the history of Thor, his Hammer had been taken away from him multiple times. This is an example that Thor's Hammer is ever more so physical than the Gem of Cyttorak. Throughtout Juggernaut's history, no one but Juggernaut himself can "materialize" the gem out of thin air. The only exception to this were of two events. 1) The Illusion of Onslaught and 2)  When Cain had 2nd thoughts of Cyttorak and the Gem materialized for some boy to find later turning him to the other Juggernaut. Another thing to point out is that if the Gem were that easy to get access to, then Dr. Doom, Oblivion, Nightmare, and Beyonder would have extracted that thing from Juggernaut long before.... But it has never been done. And people trying to remember the Onslaught Saga are taking the scene too literally when in fact that scene should have been taken metaphorically.

Scenario 1) The enterprise transports Cyttorak's jem into a containment field for "research" and Cain dies horribly in the vacuum of space.

Scenario 2) Q observes what is going on and it has caught his attention. Q then removes "the crimson Jem of Cyttorak" (Cain dies horribly) and places it on the bow of the Enterprise.

When starfleet hails the Enterprise to find out whats going on all they get back is "I'm the Enterprise b1tch".

The Enterprise takes this.

Insert random techno-babble providing the excuse and the application of the best scientific minds of the galaxy actively trying to solve a problem, moralize a bit, and roll credits. If we wanted to extend the episode, we could even have Troi and/or Data have a discussion about whether or not he is human or if Cytorrak likes chocolate.

All Juggernaut has going for him is brawn - he can't even reach the Enterprise from its' orbit; the most he can do is terrorize an away team. He'd kill whoever he came in contact with, though.

Federation starships can travel at more than half the speed of light on impulse engines alone. The warp drive carries them way past light speed. I thought the challenge in this battle was to think of some way, if any, that the TNG Enterprise could beat Juggernaut. If Juggernaut can catch the Enterprise in a short amount of time, then they are totally stomped.

Juggernaut will grow large and then shrink them.

Grow...

 Shrink his foe....

Technobabble trumps any power that Cytorrak has. And if it comes down to a real battle versus Juggs, Q will show up, have a laugh and save the Enterprise crew. The Q has the advantage of being a full scale reality morpher on a scale that at least matches if not exceeds what Cytorrak can do, and he's/It's saved the Enteprise from more minor things.

The Enterprise, easily.

Target Juggs. Fire up the transporter. Purge pattern buffers mid-transport. No more Juggs.
