Juggernaut vs Ares

Fight takes place on Ellis Island,NY. It's midnight. This fight is to the death. (I know everybody is going to say Juggernaut but I'm just wondering how long the fight would go and how good of a stand Ares would have against Juggernaut.)

Skill is hardly ever a factor against Juggernaut to begin with, even though that is definitely Ares' top attribute. You're right, though, that Ares is badly outclassed in terms of raw strength and durability. "

Of course it is.If you can find some way to BFR him you don't have to worry about fighting him or if you can figure out a way creatively to use your abilities to get him to drop his guard.Case in point, against Thor; the knowledge of his powers being magical was used against him when Thor negated the magical energy in the area dropping Juggernaut's shields and making him vulnerable to physical attack. Another instance is when Deadpool used another character to get Juggernaut to BFR himself.I have seen plenty of different ways Juggernaut has been BFR'd through skill and creative use of abilities and surroundings.None of which in this case are on Ares side seeing as how New York City is the last place you want to fight Juggernaut.He has no regard for human life and can pretty much use the entire city as a weapon granted he hasn't already one shotted Ares.

What does any of that have to do that skill? Thor has only managed to BFR Juggernaut in both of their fights, but that was only due to him properly utilizing Mjolnir in the given situation. Winning via incapacitation or using the environment to your advantage are examples of savvy techniques and in-fight versatility. BTW Thor isn't on par with Ares in terms of H2H skills. "

I think Ares is plenty strong (original 70 tons). With his skill level and mastery of weapons 70 tons (think he may have been unnecessarily boosted to class 100) is way more than enough to best most opponents (imagine a razor sharp adamantine axe being masterfully wielded and backed by 70 tons of power). I think this fight would be a stalmate. Both fighters are pretty much immortal and tireless. Juggernaut is too slow and not skilled enough to really land a shot on Ares (if he is fighting the way he could fight) and Ares couldn't damage Juggs at all.

Ares is class 75.Also his skill level rarely helps him against anyone.This wouldn't be a stalemate.If Juggernaut gets off one good punch (which he will), Ares is taking a long nap. "

Ares is not a smart enough fighter to come up with a winning strategy (if there even is a winning strategy against Juggernaut). He'd think that his 'Godly' might would be enough and just throw everything he has at Juggernaut but Juggernaut would just laugh it all off.
 
As for why Ares isn't as powerful as some people think he should be. Its not just a Marvel thing, in actual mythology Ares always loses to the likes of Athena and Hercules, therefore the comic character needs to reflect that. Sure he's stronger and more bloodthirsty than most but he can't compete with the likes of Hulk, Juggernaut, Thor, Hercules and others.

That's why I specified "fighting the way he could fight". The guy has fought in thousands upon thousands of battles and would in "real" life be able to easily evade any haymaker juggs would throw at him. "

The writer saved Juggernaut.Assuming Thor could negate Juggernaut's invulnerability for longer than he had...there is really nothing stopping Thor from defeating him.Juggernaut's durability is honestly the only thing that keeps Thor from beating him in the first place.There is nothing else in Juggernaut's favor.Not speed,not strength,not fighitng skill,not intellect..nothing.
