Joker vs. The Crossed

vs.

The Crossed hit Gotham.

Everyone is dead -- individuals like Superman and Wonder Woman are not dead, but infected, and continuing the carnage across the universe. Gotham is almost entirely destroyed -- Batman and his family are dead, along with almost all of the other supervillains.

One month has passed.

However, amidst the chaos and death, one structure is still standing, tucked away past the suburbs -- a funhouse, its lights dim. Inside is a man who seems to truly understand the monsters outside, though he finds himself immune to the infection after injecting his own veins with Crossed saliva. So, enraged over being "excluded" from his perfect world, The Joker gathers up the few of his henchmen still alive -- including Harley Quinn -- gathers up his weapons, tricks, gadgets, and his very own Joker Venom, and decides to take the fight to what remains of the world.

How long does Joker survive? How about his minions? Can he ever reclaim his home city? How many Crossed die by his hand?

Even if it is though I see Joker and his crew at most getting about a fourth of the city and carving it out as there land...

Crossed IMO, they're basically ruthless and 'rabies' ish right? They are going to swarm him before he can do too much.

Joker has no chance, the population is just too massive unless he plans on blowing up the whole city somehow before he gets ripped to shreds.

What happens when you put a town overtaken by chaos against a man who's devoted his life to causing chaos? MORE CHAOS

A town encompassed by madness would be Utopia to the Joker's twisted mind! He'd be in his own personal Wonderland, with the freedom to fulfill his natural thirst for blood by slaughtering all the Crossed he wants, to his heart's desire. If Joker wants to kill all the Crossed and retake Gotham, why not? You cannot defeat the King of Chaos with more chaos.

However, Joker cannot exist without Batman. With Batman dead, he would eventually tire of his murderous ways and miss the good ol' days of fighting Batman. The realization would affect Joker emotionally and the Crossed would finally get to him. This would be his downfall.

The Questions:

How long does Joker survive? How about his minions? Can he ever reclaim his home city? How many Crossed die by his hand?

The Answers:

Joker reclaims his home city with ease, the majority of his henchmen become infected (not including Harley), he kills as many Crossed as he wants to, and survives until he misses Batman.

Doesn't Joker Venom sort of invalidate this as a challenge? He can kill the entire city with a fleet of cropdusters.

The Joker, for all his craziness is also one of the un-deniable geniuses of DC. I see him reacting to Batman's death violently and angrily.... after all the audacity that someone other than him would kill the Bat. He makes his way across the country to Colorado killing crossed along the way. It's not even that difficult as he can't be infected and he's easily as crazy so in effect if he wants he can just blend right in. Eventually he makes his way to NORAD where he activates whats left of the American nukes.... this story goes on but it ends with the Joker killing everybody, including himself. After all, what's a world without Batman?

It's my understanding that all one needs to be infected is contact with infected bodily fluids. For all of Superman's abilities it's not a stretch to imagine that he'd get Crossed blood on him at some point.... . Not that I think it would be as simple as all that. Still though, that's as good a way as any.

Yeah pretty much. It's like the zombie virus in the various zombie/marvel books. Plenty of high power, healing factor having folks got infected. If it worked there, why not?

crossed take it to a point even joker would say is too far i love the joker but im sorry he would be ripped to shreds, sure laughing while its happening but torn apart none the less, as for superman getting infect, i dont think he shares our genetic code exactly so i would think he is immune, and if he is not...lol the we have a crossed superman and this whole world would be broken apart and chucked into the sun, after superman had his way with everyone faster than a speeding bullet lol
