Imagine if joker never became batman's villain but superman's. And imagine everything joker did to batman but in superman's life such as: Instead of crippling Babs, he paralyzes Jimmy Instead of killing Jason todd, he somehow killed super girl with a kryptonite crowbar ... And etc. What do you think? Would joker have broken superman's psyche to never kill? Or would Supes rise above madness and stay true to his heroism rather than vigilantism?
Joker vs. Superman
The differences are that superman isn't as much of a detective as batman so a lot more lives will be lost on supe's watch. And the super girl one, think hypothetically or maybe he kills Lois? All in all, neither batman nor superman kills but Supes doesn't fight the psychological war batman fights with joker. So what of he did? Can he take the pressure? And I know joker is no threat to Supes, but the fact that he wouldn't kill joker ( at least at first) so what's stopping joker from wreaking havoc in between body castes?
Superman would not need detective work, he could hear the joker laughing and ranting, look through buildings and go find him. Joker lacks Lex's discretion.
@Infintus: Um Lex is just a human and he gives Superman a run for his money!
@TheSandman: Superman wouldn't kill but we'd see a less smiley Superman in Metropolis
I don't think Joker would really bother Superman that much.
To start with Joker doesn't have the skills, wealth, or resources to compete with Superman the way Lex does.
Secondly the only reason Joker messes with Batman's mind so much is because Batman is already pretty unbalanced mentally. Clark is very stable, and use to high stakes drama on a regular basis.
No, Joker sticks with Batman because Batman is the only one of the Trinity he has any chance of success with. Superman wouldn't be bothered by him much, and Wonder Woman would just kill him eventually.
@Infintus: Still human! Joker has moments sheer brilliance due to him being mental and sometimes he's not which means he's just a smart scary guy in facepaint. Sure he doesn't build deathrays like Lex but a kryptonite crowbar, I could see him using that.
Joker and Lex are very similar though Lex is smarter in book smarts
Joker makes Superman kill him netting a victory. Superman really stands no chance against the Joker since his ultimate goal is to corrupt not to win.
Also, Joker fights Batman because Batman is 100% hero. Superman could never hope to be the hero that Batman is.
Superman always struck me as a little bit of a manchild... boy scout, I guess. He doesn't have the stubble that Batman has, he won't have what it takes to play the games Joker plays. Eventually his hand will move on its own, and when Joker's head turns into pistachio pudding, he will have won.
Weird question.
Bats matches well with joker: both dark, both with secrets and complicated backstories, both traumatized, both human, and they're both crazy (to different degrees).
Supes, tho? Not a great match. Joker gets in Bats head for the no kill thing (The Killing Joke, for instance), but I'm pretty sure that he would just disgust Supes: there wouldn't be that personality resonance and tension because he's a boyscout. No mirror effect. Clark is a well adjusted man with a normal job, friends, a steady girl to come home to, and a general optimism and love for people. Bats is a pessimist loner that does nothing but run his tech empire, hunt people down, train, and angst in a cave. They're different people.
Supes would just pound Joker like the puny human he is, and chuck him in prison on his way to a date with Lois and that would be the end of it. And to be honest, I don't quite understand this "Superman never kills thing". Pre-Crisis definitely had a headcount, and current intended to kill Doomsday, Cyborg Superman, and Darkseid. Course they didn't stay dead, but still, the attempt was there. I could definitely see Superman getting feisty and punching Joker a little too hard after seeing Lois all carved up like a turkey, though.
First post!
+10 for this@BringnIt : Nothing beats spelling "retarded" wrong.
And Superman would catch Joker easier than Batman ever could, sure he lacks Batman's deductive mind...but he isn't an idiot...that and he can see through walls and hear for miles
The Joker did that when he had access to Mxy's power. Yeah, that's right the Joker has brought the entire universe to its knees before.
Lex dosnt have anything on the joker. i mean he is pretty badass, but in a vs joker has him beat unless he is in his suit. joker isnt as book or tech smart. but joker is a criminal genius and looks at things diff then anyone could ever understand, bats is the closest its gonna get. lex wouldnt know what to do with joker, and thats why when it comes to who is the best human villian, joker takes it. IMO but back to topic, i liked the kingdom come idea. seems right.

This isn't a battle.
You're not a battle.
Thank you for reminding me "Joygirl". And I thought I was obvious... (just messin with you, of course)
@infintus: they're human so they're no threat to Superman? Superman's most dangerous foe is a human! How does your post make any sense? With prep time, anyone could get some kryptonite or something and with the Joker deranged mind, he could easily pull Superman into a trap (think Injustice but with the trap aimed at Superman and not his family).
Joker wins of course, pretty much the exact thing that happened in Injustice: Gods among us would play out. The joker is constantly trying to push Batman over the edge, all he would have to do is blow out Lous' brain and degrade her body in some way and then we get crazy ass Lois.
Superman also has a no kill rule just like Batman but the problem here is that Superman is alot stronger than Batman so even though Batman can sometimes beat the joker within an inch of his life, Superman would just end up smashing him like a splattered tomato.
Alot of peopel are bringing up Lex saying if he can't do it then Joker can't. That because the point of this fight isn't killing Superman but to push him over the edge. Lex wants to defeat Superman to prove his superiority, he wouldn't do something like kill Lois Lane; while the Joker always plays with morals off lol.
Kingdom Come.

Lex is in not a normal human, when you build devices that break the laws of physics you have superhuman intelligence. He is also not his most dangerous villain just his most iconic, kryptonite is very hard to come by and is only useful if you can somehow get past Supermans enhanced senses.
Joker has neither the intelligence or resources to make a good Superman villain.
The exact thing that happened in Injustice happened within the comics and was pulled off by Manchester Black and Superman didn't break.
@dedmanwalkin: Batman is more of a Super hero than Superman? That's bulls**t. Superman has more compassion and it didn't take his mom and dad getting shot for him to stand up and do the right thing.
His parents are the only reason Bruce Wayne is Batman. Batman is Bruce's addiction, he's not this 100% hero you're talking about, he fights crime out of anger and guilt, not because it's the right thing.
hmm superman can see through walls and hear miles on but he is blackout by injustice and always seem to fall for the kryptonite trick, supes can't stand joker and how many times have the dark knight thrown joker into jail/asylum? countless, he'll manage to break out always, he would derange the poor people of metropolis, he will kill lois whiles supes is in away, fighting darseid or someone like that, or whiles he is away on s noble quest, he'd probly make supes chose between the citizens of metropolis and lois, like he made batman choose between harvey and the love of his life and push superman beyond his limit, superman will break, will kill joker, then go work as a farmer in kansas for many years
People really need to stop using Injustice like it's some blueprint on how Supes would deal with Joker.
I guess it depends what you mean by winning, but knowing who Joker is and what he's all about, I would say that he would eventually get what he want; meaning, he would brake and corrupt Superman. That's all he wants, read Killing joke - truly exelent story! -, he just want to prove a point. Didn't you guys read Injustice gods among us? In that story, Superman had one, really bad day and... well, Joker had last laugh, because every tragic event, that followed was, indirectly his doing. Yes, I think that this is what would happen:
