Has insanity been shown to counter Lelouch's mind control before? Also, what gear they have, the location, and prep would have a big effect on the battle. "

Round 1: Lelouch
Not entirely sure how good a shot Lelouch is, but it doesn't matter. If they are pointing guns at eachother Lelouch will just hax his mind with Geass and have him shoot himself in the head. 
Round 2: Lelouch  
Has made a name for himself being rediculously good at chess the entire series. Not to mention took over the world with said brain smarts. 
Round 3: Lelouch 
Geass hacks the Joker to sit there and take a beating. 
 
Lelouch clean sweep, all it takes is a look for him to have you do exactly what he wants you to do.

Sorry to bump another old thread, but there is NOTHING in Code Geass even implying that Geass wouldn't work on insane people. In fact, it specifically states that everyone will eventually succumb to it. Lelouch even used Geass on God, who pretty much was mindless.

FYI lelouch's geass is not mind control , it's just 1 ultimate godlike order that no one can disobey so lulu wins.

But I love joker more than lulu

Lelouch should stomp this in a straight fight due to his Geass. He would make Joker his slave the second they made eye contact; the TC does not specify distance or location, so they are literally starting the fight staring at each other.
