You're talking about different fight.
Ego is too powerfull for Thor and Gladiator combined. He is very durable, only way John can hurt him is taking him from inside. But I don't belive that anyone on this level can do it without PIS.
And John did it only thanks to absorbed Black Lanterns power from Mogo. He was veeeeery boosted in that moment.

Galactus would wave his hand and kill Thor and Galds so that doesent count for much. He is durible enough for Thor and Glads but is not in the same League with Galactus, not anymore anyway. John also forcefully took that energy and it wasn't just BL energy he took.

Aye, Mogo went crazy and started giving "unworthy people" rings and that was fueling the war against OA, so John popped him.

Yes he is dead, Spectre is Dead, Luthor may be dead (I'll have to re-read that last EDIT: Action comic again). Most stories are coming to a close or they finished already.
Flashpoint is wrapping up soon and then the big re boot.

Negative. We see Arkillo as a part of the New Guardians In Kyle Rayners book. We also see the Sinestro having to confront the Yellow Lanterns on Korugar in Green Lantern #2. As far as the name of the Corps...that most likely will be changed but nothing has been stated officially yet.
