John Constantine vs. Lucifer Morningstar

Hmm... Lucifer can probably outwit Constantine, but good match. They are probably the two smartest characters in comicdom.

This is interesting... but I don't think Lucifer would get outwitted. Plus, he has Living Tribunal-level amounts of power. He doesn't like using it, but for once, against wit and prep master Constantine of all people, I think he can be excused in using it to win if need be, though I don't think he needs it, but the possibility is there.

This battle is hard. If without prep I am not even going to say anything but with prep... I really do not know. I want to say Costantine but come on Lucifer is nign omniscient, cunningly awesome and has Living Turbinal level powers. I want to Lucifer but come on Constantine is the most trickiest and luckiest bastard of all fiction he has climbed out of hell and laughed in the face of Satan. I guess I will just stand back and watch two of my most favourite characters in DC brawl it out.

I'd consider Constantine a little smarter, but Lucifier has his ridiculous power to back him up.

Though, Constatine has enslaved beings who's powers aren't too far behind Lucifier's, including Gabriel.

Constantine with prep outwits Lucifer by using his own honesty against him. Lucifer tells the truth and keeps his promises, that's part of his code. I firmly believe Constantine can and would use that against him, and figure out a way to finagle a win. Not that he should win this mind you, but Constantine is like Batman in that, with prep the writers always have him win no matter how powerful the opponent.

Lucifer has better outwitting feats and is generally smarter not to mention far, far more powerful. John can do nothing to him.

Constantine dies miserably.

If Constantine came to this fight with prep he would do the smartest thing he could and have a sign saying I give up and then go home.

If anyone had a shot at beating Lucifer is JonCon but he isn't wining this. Lucifer wins but John steals his wallet in the process.

I just watched the Constantine movie now. As a Constantine fan... it was awesome.

But no, I don't see him beating Lu. If given prep, I'd give it to Lu like 7/10 at least.

Lucifer and john are in a battle everyday. Its is 100% of johns power to keep his soul since he is suppose to die. But lucifer is not putting in that much effort. Say Lucifer were to go all out john would probably be dead for a while. Then he would would get his soul back. He is the type to out gamble the devil not to out punch the batman.
