@jonny_anonymous: That's very arguable..and doesn't really matter when Mordru can snap his fingers and turn his head into a gumball.
You do know that John makes a living by beating god like entities on a day to day basis right? And he mostly does it without prep because John's biggest "power" is not being a prep master but being a master of winging it.
@jonny_anonymous: He doesn't beat entities..that's a common myth. He doesn't even beat with them prep. He just convinces them to do what he wants them to do that has something to do with the plot. Bring up instances of him "beating" characters more powerful than Mordru and I'll gladly debunk them for you. Or you could do something with more relevance, and explain how exactly he beats someone as powerful as Silver Age Mordru?
John gives up an arm and a leg and possesses the Spectre to kill Mordru, or makes a deal with certain demons preventing his death and damning Mordru in the process.
