John Constantine and Mephisto vs Trigon
If John and Mephisto are given any amount of prep they win rounds 1+2 (possibly 3 as well but y'know, Looney Toons).
In hell, Mephisto was able to stalemate a fully nourished Galactus (untill he threatened to swallow Mephisto's realm that is). And in combination with John, who's beaten demons far more powerful than Trigon, they'd win round 2 easily. Round 1 would be more challenging but I think they'd still win.
Trigon stomps. His very presence would kill John, and Mephisto's not strong enough to tangle with a Multiversal entity who drains entire universes of their souls/energy.
@xiix: @darkraiden: We are talking about the same Trigon that regularly gets his but handed to him by a bunch of wet nursed Jnr wanna be heores, RIGHT???
why would anyone be impressed by him. Shite John and Mephisto would kick the Teen Titnas butts all over the place without prep ( and it was Trigon whonhad prep for most of their encounters not them)

No we're talking about the Trigon who's very presence turned ALL of earth to stone, including the Justice League, and by default, Constantine. Same Trigon who was never defeated by the Titans, only defeated by the combined souls of Azar who's purpose was to one day purify him. And he still didn't die.
We're talking about the Trigon that conquered a planet at age 6 and a Universe by age 30 and has since then conquered multiple universes and has even destroyed universes.
@beatboks1: Without any plot contrivance(per the forum rules), Trigon is on a whole different level of power. The Titan's didn't have a flea's chance in an inferno against him, and had to resort to a very specific vulnerability to defeat him(the previously mentioned souls of Azar), neither of which Constantine or Mephisto have access to.
Granted they're all at their best, Trigon outclasses them in raw power(the most power Mephisto has implied/shown is galactic-level in output. Trigon's is universal). Which given that there's no prep, is really all that matters here.
Without prep, John is killed and Mephisto is banished. With prep, John (New 52) has already been shown to have be able to defeat Trigon.
John Con is a mid-tier and Mephisto is a bigger jobber than Killer Croc.
So... No.

Wait when was this? The only time I've ever seen Constantine "beat" someone as high tier as Trigon wasn't so much as winning a fight as it was tricking them into getting what he wants.
@Shintakie: In the Injustice Gods Amoung Us comic, John manipulated Trigon by using his daughter as bait. He essentially manipulated the entire JL and Trigon (After a fight with Mister Mxyzptlk, where Trigon should have been beaten honestly) into defeating each other. Trigon originally had part of John's soul, so he ended up tricking and beating Trigon. I'm not sure if Trigon could take a full powered Mephisto in his realm when both him and John have prep.

That's how John wins.
