@chaos_prime: you mean EWGF? haha
@chaos_prime: you mean EWGF? haha
Is that the abbreviation for "im ganna knock u out sucka" in Japanese? ;)
@chaos_prime: lol. That's devil jin's launcher in Tekken. Best launcher in the game haha
@marshall_long: And you win comment of topic, congratz.
@marshall_long: you can argue that Liu-Kang can give Jin a run for his money
@heymanjack: Imo Jin outclasses Liu Kang in every category Strength, Speed, Endurance, Durability, but I don't wanna turn this into a Jin Vs Liu Kang debate so I'll just leave it at that.
Close one
Morals off and Khan can steal his soul but Jin is physically stronger
How often does khan just "go up to someone, and steal their souls"??
Can Khan take Devil jin's soul??
You guys want to see how Jin would wrek Shao Khan and Liu Kang. Just chech this video of the figth of the mishima family.
This is just one of Jin's high end fights. well....the rest are normally in-game but this shows how much of a beast Jin is. he will beat the heck out of Shao khan with Morals off, same thing with Liu Kang....so...
Kahn would stomp Jin.
Well OP says morals off so Khan soul stealing in character or not does not matters and on topic in MK3 Shao Khan soul wiped the entire planet so I don't see any reason for him to take his soul right off the bat
Exactly. Kahn was giving Raiden trouble by that point(even though Raiden jobbered to hell)
@colliderz: Except Shao Kahn didn't just pop into Earth Realm and *poof* soul-jacked the world. Required Quan-Chi creating a Soulnado of epic proportions in order to give Shao Kahn access once he did enter the realm, and that required a lengthy ritual and human sacrifices. It's not something Kahn can just do whenever he feels like.
And you'd think we would've just done it to Liu Kang and co once they were in Outworld, but nope that never happened either. Instead he gets nearly killed by someone with 1/10,000th the experience he has. But that goes to Kahn's supreme arrogance.
Turning morals off means nothing for Kahn who never had them to begin with. It does mean that Jin will kill Kahn a lot more effectively than Liu Kang.

Not really...... What happened in MK3 was Shang Tsung reviving Sindel in Earth thus allowing Kahn to cross the boundary lines and reclaim her. As a consequence of his action, the Earth become a part of the Outworld in which instance he soul drained the planet

They were under the protection of Raiden just like how they were protected by him again during the soul drain in MK3.

Turning morals off means a lot to Kahn as it also turns off his arrogance too which is his greatest weakness

This was all retconned. Quan-Chi revived Sindel in Outworld, which removed the barrier preventing Shao Kahn from forcefully entering Earth Realm. He could only merge the realms once he was there. Entering Earth Realm by itself did not allow him to soul-jack the world. It would only allow him to claim possession of peoples souls After They Died. Which is a huge distinction.
They were under the protection of Raiden just like how they were protected by him again during the soul drain in MK3.
There is absolutely zero evidence to support that. Raiden offered no such protection and openly states that his powers are compromised while in Outworld.

No. Morals has nothing to do with Competency. Arrogance is part of Kahn's Character. Removing CIS would be the only thing keeping Kahn from acting like a complete twat.

With MK9 only the plot itslef was retconned, its still the same characters with same levels of powers so a feat from MK3 is pretty valid and can be used for MK9 Kahn
There is absolutely zero evidence to support that. Raiden offered no such protection and openly states that his powers are compromised while in Outworld.
That was the case with all the fight happened in Earth as it was stated in the Opening of MK3 and as for Outworld they have only faced each other in the tournament where Kahn was restricted by the Elder Gods not to soul drain without wining the fight

Morals effect the principals and the behaviour of a person and if they go off so does Kahn's arrogance

Lol...... Khaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!! really is a twat. He's also cheap as well.

A claim that cannot be proven because all those future instances and character progressions are all invalid now. And the way MK9 set everything up had the entire cast on pretty much the exact same level, but only so long as they were doing their part of the story because everything after that and they just get the $hit knocked out of them from then onward.
The only degree of consistency we had in the entire game was that Reptile, Baraka, Goro, Shiva and Kintaro were complete fodder and lost Every Single Fight. They didn't even matter to the plot at all and Baraka wasn't even in the 1st MK, but they threw him in there anyway. The whole way the Story Campaign was done was so poor you could've literally replaced anyone with it with someone else and gotten the exact same results because it didn't matter one friggen bit.
You could replace Liu Kang with Little Mac from "Punchout" and the story would be completely unaffected by it.
That was the case with all the fight happened in Earth as it was stated in the Opening of MK3 and as for Outworld they have only faced each other in the tournament where Kahn was restricted by the Elder Gods not to soul drain without wining the fight
And didn't stop him from neck-snapping Kung Lao without even a formal challenge being made. He just walked up and did it because he wanted to be a prick. So clearly the rules are rather poorly defined and unless Kahn breaks the one big rule, the Elder Gods could really have given less of a $hit.
The fact is MK9 retconned not only the continuity but their powersets as well, since even those were poorly defined. After Mk4, Quan-Chi needed a specific portal to escape the Nether Realm for "Deadly Alliance" to kick off, yet in MK9 he can pretty much go to-an-fro the Nether Realm at will. As can Raiden, Scorpion, Shang Tsung and pretty much anyone else with teleporting abilities. So it makes the whole bit about running away from Scorpion in the Nether Realm in MK5 completely meaningless.
Morals effect the principals and the behaviour of a person and if they go off so does Kahn's arrogance
No it doesn't. Kahn never had them to begin with. He was always about murdering and screwing everyone over even before he was emperor of Outworld. Morals just means he wouldn't be restricted by any "feelings" that would interfere with him trying to kill people. And since he never had any problems straight up murdering people or mindscrewing the Edenian Royal Family just for kicks, there's no reason to believe his pure, impenetrable arrogance is going away just because Morals are turned off.
Shao Kahn too big n' strong
Jin has the physical might/power to hang with Kahn, maybe even get the better of him, but, not sure if he'll survive/deal Shao's powerfull sorcery?
I have never really been able to pinpoint how powerful Khan is, feats aren't very well established and the last time I was in a debate using him it was restricted to canon only meaning no comics or anything like that, it would help if we had someone knowledgeable on Khan or a respect thread that could be used for battles.
@devil_driver: This.
Honestly? Marshall_Long pretty much summed this match up when he pointed out that if Liu Kang can beat him. Why couldn't Jin? I mean don't get me wrong. I am a HUGE fan of Mortal Kombat and I hate how underrated they are on this website. Liu Kang actually has the striking power to punch through things much harder than Titanium. As a child he shattered a Watermelon sized Ruby that no one in his temple could shatter. It had remained shattered for YEARS until Kang did it (he didn't use even use any chi to enhance his punch either). In case you didn't know. Ruby is 9 out of 10 on the hard scale. Titanium is 6. He would give Jin a pretty good fight at base. But even then Jin has Liu Kang outclassed in every category. Jin would probably defeat Kahn easier than Kang did. If Jin goes into his Devil mode. Kahn is pretty much screwed.
One... Liu Kang was chosen to be Earthrealms champion... It amps his power....
Saying "Since X can beat Y... the surely Z can beat Y the same way" Is a stupid ass argument...
If Batman can be superman.... Why the hell couldn't he beat Sentry, Gladiator, Hyperion, and Thor, I mean come on, he beat Superman amirite? hurkhurkhurk.
Powers and Abilities from the MK wiki
Shao Kahn is shown to be an immensely powerful being throughout the series. He is able to utilize magic and has superhuman strength and durability. He is also able to charge at the opponent with considerable speed and power. His kombat abilities were demonstrated during the events of Mortal Kombat 3, wherein he defeated Kung Lao with relative ease. Armed with his Wrath Hammer, however, Shao Kahn can send opponents flying with one swing. During the events of Armageddon, he was able to smash through Mileena's magic barrier with his hammer. Like Shang Tsung, he can absorb the souls of others to increase his own power, often through the usage of soulnados.
Apart from his projectile attacks, Kahn's knowledge of magic seems to include cloning, as he has managed to do so to avoid assassination at the hands of the Deadly Alliance. After escaping into the wilderness, he was able to revive a severely injured Goro and recruit him back to his cause.
Not only this, he has shown the ability to merge realms.... Far more powerful than what Devil Jin has shown.... All your video shows is how over the top anime like fighting tekken has transcended, rather than from what it was in it's roots a MMA like fighter with some mysticism in it.
Shao Kahn takes this easily. Also.... Since Asuka and her tits of glory can revert Jin... I don't see how Shao Kahn couldn't using the many souls of women or others he has control over.... (see how stupid that sounds? That's how some of you in this thread sound with the Liu Kang argument)
Also... Need I remind you... Shao Kahn won Armageddon... Defeated Raiden, Shinnok, Blaze and Onaga to become all powerful....
Nothing... and I MEAN NOTHING Jin has done tops that.
Shao Kahn wins, but has he done this?
Shao Khan has never got to feel a touch of a woman who really loves him..unlike Jin he has Xiao looking out ofr him....And she's a minor. And Jin is 24.........Pedophilia at its best.
Nah, it's reverse-pedophilia, actually. The little one likes the older one.

LOL. But Jin has a thing for Xiaou. But he simply doesnt show his emotions.

Evidence is everything in court.
Shao Kahn makes jin his slave. He can conquer entire realms. Tekken characters are tiers way below him.
