@legacy6364: i don't think I'd be all that bad, they're both great swordsman
Damian drops the sword and beats Jamie to death with his bare hands.
Damian makes Jaime his Reek
You win this thread
@comicstooge: why do you say Damian wins sir
@iragexcudder: Objectively better feats and training, maybe?
@theamazingyolo: in a duel though mate?
Brienne remembered her fight with Jaime Lannister in the woods. It had been all that she could do to keep his blade at bay. He was weak from his imprisonment, and chained at the wrists. No knight in the Seven Kingdoms could have stood against him at his full strength, with no chains to hamper him. Jaime had done many wicked things, but the man could fight! His maiming had been monstrously cruel. It was one thing to slay a lion, another to hack his paw off and leave him broken and bewildered.
@comicstooge: why do you say Damian wins sir
Damian's just too skilled, too fast and too agile.
Damian slaughters.
@comicstooge: skill is subjective sir.
Damian makes Jaime his Reek
lmfao
@iragexcudder: Feats aren't subjective
I'd say Jaime takes this. He is unrivaled as a solo fighter in the kingdoms and rivaled much bigger people after months of isolation, malnourishment, and no training or practicing. Though Damien is impressive with his skill and speed, Jaime is no slouch and is being extremely underrated in this thread. Damien has been defeated by much less skilled martial artists and the only advantage I would give him is speed at best. Jaime should win handily after a long fought battle. Damien's arrogance would be his downfall for sure.
@comicstooge: yes they are. You can base thousands of opinions on feats, this is why there are forums to discuss.
Given you'd like to talk skill and feats, Damian should outclass him for experiencing the out of the ordinary. In a battle, of dueling, and from war experience and ego alone, Jamie Lannister is the greatest swordsman in A Song of Ice and Fire. GRRM considers him to be the greatest in the realm, and given how subjective that can be, he's still the best.
So if we're going to go by universal power housing, Jamie Lannister should equal Batman in the skill department, as he's the finest swordsman in the realm. Basing skill in separate universes are different but should be considered equal because downplaying different aspects of combat shouldn't regarded as something indifferent.
That being said, I don't think Damian should be out of Jamie control for the amount of experience he's had. He's still a child, and I sincerely believe that realism should be put into context into these situations.
@just_banter: no. He absolutely wouldn't.
