Just finished watching the movie, Bills visibly absorbs a solar system instantly, and then proceeds to destroy half the universe. Goku puts up a close fight but barely loses.
There is a new DBZ movie which is canon. Goku is suppose to go SSJG to fight Bills (he apparently still isn't powerful enough from what people are saying). I want to see the fight with Bills before I make judgement personally.
I still don't see Goku or any Saiyan being able to take a punch from Superman.
That reminds me, Goku takes several punches from Bills, who literally destroyed a planet when he punched it. The explosion looks somewhat like the deathstar explosion from a new hope.

Oh wow, I suppose you've seen Battle of the gods and know that for a fact? there totally aren't a million other people who've done the EXACT SAME THING.

have you seen battle of the gods, cause i havent so im not saying anything.. yet.. but from what ive heard bills destroyed half the universe in a single blast, took out a whole galaxy, or was it solar system, in an instant. aannd goku BARLEY lost. i really dont think supes has a chance.. but again im not saying anthing yet since i havent seen the movie
You should give it a few weeks for people to leak the movie. Remember it was a theatrical release. Won't see it on DVD or BlueRay for at least 4-6 months. Just for Japan. And we don't know if they'll even make an english dub of it. We may only ever see a subtitled version by the end of the year.
This is a pretty pointless thread given that basically no one will have seen the new movie at this stage, I personally highly doubt there'll be anything in the new movie that'll put Goku on Superman's level, especially since Superman's pressure point techniques are now shown to work for sure, but I myself am holding off judgement.
@anothervillain: From what I know, Bills looks to be a Confirmed Solar System buster for sure, but different translations are saying he'll wipe out the whole Galaxy the others saying parts of the universe.
Wait, movies are canon when anime fillers generally are not considered such?
In a lot of cases the Movies are non canon, it's just this time the original creator is the one behind it, so it's canon. Some other movies are like that like the One Piece Strong World movie is also considered Canon I believe.
@jaywray: Goku has the greater combat speed and has more combat experience also New 52 Superman does not have a lot of significant durability feats and Goku in SSJG form would be a Solar System Buster or above easily as he contains the power of Ultimate Gohan, Goten, Trunks, Vegeta and Pan who has inner potential. Many like to bring up or mention the bench pressing the earth for 5 days feat as a way to describe Superman`s strength however what they forget is that lifting strength is not striking power and that is where Superman is lacking, Goku has the better striking feats.

Oh you're going new 52 only? Hmm, I stopped reading comics for a couple of months, stopped just before Justice League vs Darkseid, so I can't make any judgments, but from what I have seen, Post Crises Supes still wins.

If I'm correct you've seen the movie right? Do you speak Japanese and happen to know if Piccolo, or any character for that matter says anything about Bills being a Galaxy buster?

i beleive supes still wins ( note:im a dbz ''fanboy'' xd but not biased) but i think this could change in a near future there will be new movies coming soon maybe even a series and is prolly gonna be goku fighiting some of these gods etc and getting stronger ofc

Yeah man I know, but a lot of people have often used the idea that because Goku is a Saiyan that he wouldn't be effected by it. That's why I said it works for sure :)
isn't Billis Mftl? I don't know about his combat speed but it should be at least ftl then? but ill have to watch the movie first to be certain. If so, ssjg Goku who kept up with Billis should be able to take Superman with ease. Superman doesn't even have ftl combat speed i believe.
