Both were told they were the best at fighting
Leonidas runs the Isengard Gauntlet while fighting for Rohan on the Deeping Wall at Helm's Deep with 5 Spartans:
- A siege ladder with an Uruk-hai Berserker at the top
- 30 Uruk-hai soldiers
The second part of the Gauntlet takes place at the gate with 10 Spartans:
The final part occurs when the breach in the Deeping Wall takes place. Leonidas has 25 Spartans with him:
- The siege mine
- 10 Uruk-hai Berserkers
- 80 Uruk-hai (a mix of swordsmen and pikesmen)
Neither are holding back. As with the LOTR movie, the defenders at Helm's Deep have one to three hours to prepare. Everyone has their respective equipment. These are based off the movies.
Stipulations for victory for Sparta is that Leonidas doesn't die and win at least 2 parts of the entire gauntlet.
Stipulations for victory for Isengard is that the Uruk-hai kill all the Spartans.
