No weakness like kryptonite are allowed. No morals. Both characters are extremely angry and willing to kill each other and whoever else gets in their way. Who would win this?
Ironman in his most powerful suit that he has vs Superman?
So wait.
You hold back Iron Man from using kryptonite, Superman's one weakness. You allow Superman to go crazy. That's always fair.
Yeah, in that case, Superman takes it.

It is fair. Why cripple a hero by using his weakness? Using kryptonite makes superman a normal man. Iron man would pummel a normal man. :I Saying the non use of kryptonite isn't fair is like saying Spiderman vs Iron fist, but Venom gets to beat the shit out of spiderman before the fight. You're basically crippling one of the heroes ._.
Well the Thorbuster in name sounds like some suit that is capable of matching Thor's stats and even above. Actually it's main ability is absorbing Thor's source of power... magic.
Thor buster and the suit that absorbs gamma radiation, are the only ones with a chance for a majority
Neither suit actually matched up with their intended targets.. only aiming for their weaknesses. Sounds like something to do with the Hulk, who is powered by gamma radiation I believe, that suit wouldn't help here.
Supes ftw
Superman has faced a crap load of cyborgs/ powered suits powered by Kryptonite (as well as energy/ radiation manipulators like the Kryptonite Man). Giving Tony that only slightly increases his chances. Hell, Lex Luthor once went so far as to build an old Kryptonian crystal starship capable of destroying planets into a giant crystal mecha powered by what must have been hundreds of tons (maybe even thousands) of Kryptonite... and he still got his butt kicked.
How is it unfair? Anyone can beat Superman with kryptonite. Tony Stark doesn't even need a suit to beat Superman with kryptonite. Even a new-born baby could beat Superman if Superman ran into him and he was playing with kryptonite. Giving Tony kryptonite is what would be unfair because it hardly requires no skill, intelligence or power of any type.
So yeah, who would win, Ironman in his most powerful suit or Superman?

You've never read anything with Lex Luthor in it, have you :l.
@tjsh96: you obviously do not read Superman comics, do you?
And to answer your question, no. Tony, as intelligent and badass as he is, doesn't have a suit nor could he make a suit that would handle Superman.
That's the whole point as others have said.
He NEEDS some kryptonite, because none of his suits are powered to take down someone of Superman's calibur. Without any type of kryptonite, Iron Man gets demolished.
Unless YOU can think of a scenario, this is a spite/stomp. @the_last_kryptonian Like I said, just humor me. I get it's his major weakness, but he needs something here. Otherwise, Iron Man stands no chance.
Superman FTW
Even with Kryptonite Tony loses.
Hardly. He gets his hands on kryptonite, then he can stand his ground with some distinct power on Supes.
Without it? Yeah, he's crushed.

No Tony doesn't even stand a chance with Kryptonite Tony loses period if Lex, Metallo and the freaking Kryptonite Man cant beat Superman with Kryptonite and red sun radiation Tony isn't either.

Lex never used his kryptonite to the full extension. Metallo, well can't think of a reason.
Kryptonite Man's first fight with Superman was interrupted. Didn't face him a second time, and in New 52 he was again, pushed back.
Tony could infuse the kryptonite's power into his blasters. Or just make the suit out of kryptonite, while also enfusing the blasters with kryptonite as I said.
Good luck Supes. That's not the battle here though.

Superman who has no morals can kill Tony before he could even think of doing something Kryptonite would make no difference at all.

All depends on how the battle would go down, my friend.
Superman has the edge, but Tony wouldn't be a scrub in a full fledge Kryptonite warsuit. He wouldn't be a pushover like Kryponite Man either. He'd have the blasters as well.
As said, save this for another battle.
As for current state for my opinion Superman kills Tony in any possible costume. Most of high-ranked Iron Man (some-buster) suit is created for single purpose to fight with special individual and most possible will not work in fight with Superman. On another way if Stark has kryptonite or a some amount (maybe too big amount) of preparation with knowledge of oponent abilites it's possible that he can defeat "big-S-on-chest". But with already existed it goes 9/10 to Superman and 1/10 to Iron Man (it happens when S steps on banana peel and smash his head with rock, but I don't sure about posibility of such result so it's only 1 of 10).
@immortal777: Superman's consistency with kryptonite is horrible. Sometimes, he can simply shrug off it, some other Times, it simply makes him human, and it most cases, it slowly kills him.
Kr isn't a kill switch for Superman, he's outright owned people that had it. With that said, I don't see IM winning this even if he had a chunk of Kr without a specialized suit designed to counter Superman.
Most of the time, Superman ability to ignore kryptonite is PIS, they need kryptonite to make a story that show superman struggleling, but thats their problem, they nerf superman badly, and they need him to somehow beat the villains or stop some master plan. sorta hard to do that when he weakened, so they make him out of nowhere able to ignored it when he was almost throwing up just being near kryptonite in the begining. But does not mtter, Iron man losed without kryptonite, especially a moral off superman
Supes crushes tony like a tin can
This. Supes owns ironman in this scenario. No morals and supes blows the planet up or FTL tackles iron man, game over.

Normal Superman would be hard enough for Stark to overcome, but a pissed off and blood-lusted Kal-El not caring who he goes through? Fries Iron Man in his armor with heat vision like a sun-baked turtle before punting him into the sun.
Well to be fair Iron Man does have some sweet gadget. Wouldnt Phoenix killer be able to stand up to Superman, Celestial Armor should be enough too (although that was built in a non canon encounter to take on Thanos with Infinity Gauntlet). Iron Destroyer should be pretty powerful as well, with the conventional magical element against Superman but its little featless.
Ironman's best suit is Thorbuster, which if I remember held his own against Rune King Thor for a short while. In the end though, Ironman's suit is just steel, and eventually it would get withered away by Superman's blows.
Supes wins 6/10 the time.
@petey_is_spidey: Iron Man did not face Rune King Thor. The Thor Buster armour only worked because it was able to absorb any attacks from Thor's Hammer. Once Thor used his fists, he ripped it to shreds
OP doesn't say anything about prep it just says his strongest suit so I'm going to take it as ones that have existed before. Supes Stomps before IM gets to blast off the ground.
supes can win with one punch to the face... starks head will be attached to the suit
