Iron Man, standard 616 version

vs

Human Torch, standard 616 version

- Stark has the Bleeding Edge armour

- Storm is at standard power level

- Takes place in the Colosseum

- No prep

- In character

- To the death or KO

Who wins and why?

Why Tony?

How heat proof is Tony's armor?

Apparently his armours are fully fire resistant and can withstand the heat of the sun. They've taken all sorts of energy attacks and explosions, not to mention nukes.

@rogueshadow That was hilarious. You got any actual thoughts on the fight?

Ironman easily.

@silverrings: I think Tony wins, he's superior in every area in my opinion.

Can Tony his suit take a nova blast at full intensity?

#14 Posted by Suske_Amoras (215 posts) - - Show Bio

no it can't at least depending which armor regular shouldn't hold that long.

But Tony can hit the Human torch faster than the Human torch can hit him.

Torch is faster but Tony can shoot so much at him that he will be busy dodging all of the time and when he goes supernova he will be shot down because it took him to long to get in that state.

Stark. Repulsors should be able to take down Johnny

Ok, what makes you think so?

He tanks nukes now. He's just become so much tougher over the years while torch's abilities while not weakened haven't grown.

Ironman has the same ability as an IPhone there's always a hot new model each one with better processing power newer and better apps.

This would have been debatable twenty or even ten years ago but with bleeding edge it's not really a contest anymore.

Edit: I would like to note that his "upgrades" are due at least in part to his franchises success in the box office so while it's not entirely fair it is canonical.

Fair points all around guys, how do you think Torch would fare against the Extremis armour or the classic armour?

Iron Man for the ownage.

Tony's armor can handle the sun maybe but the heat from a Supernova? (not sure if Johnny could actually do this im just going off of the movie)

@degraaf:

Even if that was true(which it isn't) in the movie that was a suicide move making it would result in a draw.

Bleeding Edge can take Nukes. I'm giving it to Stark.
